This product was easy to install and seems to work as it should. I love that I can fun it from my phone and it even has setting about watering when it rains or is windy out. Easily programmed.

Controller was easy to install and worked perfectly. Very easy to program. Replaced a Hunter controller that was zapped by a power surge.Recommend this product.

The controller worked perfectly, it was easy to install and to set up .However I was disappointed that it has a life of only 5 years unless I am prepared to reprogram it every time I have a power outage as the back up battery will be dead and has no replacement. I can of course add a WAND at a cost of $189, and I do see anywhere what the life expectancy is of the WAND. I cannot help but wonder if it also has a similar life.

Better watering

The Hunter six station outdoor irrigation controler was easy to install and hook up. I only had three stations and now have room to expand three more. I was lucky having an outler on the other side of the wall to connect to and with a conection box I was able to keep all wiring safe from the rain as it is mounted on an outside wall. Wiring is run in pvc to the controlers, It is easy to program and the instructions are on a card held inside with velcro, it even has a side where you can put which controler is wired and programed for. Its a nice box and can be locked for security.

Easy as and just fantastic

One of the best things I’ve done recently, buying a watering unit that had a wireless module. I’ve had the non wireless Hunter watering system for yonks so this was a complete upgrade. From start to finish about 1 hour for the change over and connection to wireless. Love the Hunter app / website, just tops!

Hopeful but fell short!

I was excited to get this product. I've used the Orbit brand 6 station timer for many many years. And it finally needed to be replaced. When I looked at the specs and design I thought it would do the job. But after installing it, it was a great disappointment. I will say it was easy to install, but really it should be. Connect the wires in the same configuration as the Orbit. No problem there. But programming is so difficult. The display is very small and the icons are almost illegible. Even with the manual to see what it's supposed to be, such as a water drop to indicate the day, I would never know what it was. Then selecting the days, it kept reverting to all off, or all on even when only using the arrow button to change days which is supposed to chose the day, ... MoreI was excited to get this product. I just kept trying different combinations and finally reset all. Then after over 15 minutes, I got the right combination of buttons, enter and back and forth. Then trying to set the manual, which isn't too difficult, but the problem is when you select the station to use, it defaults to the time already set for normal run. In my example, 40 minutes. But I want it to run for the 4 hour setting. Push the down arrow and it moves so fast, maybe 1/2 second to get to zero and go past the 4 hour setting and down to an hour or 2. Then try the up arrow to get back to 4 hour and in well under 1/2 second it's over zero and up to an hour or 2. You may as well push the button one at a time up or down. Think how long that takes to go up to 4 hours from 40 minutes. It's usable with all the difficulties in programming and manual, but the hassle factor makes it a dud.

Sharem job

I did a big sprinkler job using all hunter sprinklers, solenoids and controller and it came up a treat. Worked perfectly and the owner was exceptionally happy with the end result.

Solid irrigation controller

Upgraded my older irrigation controller with this new Hunter X-CORE 6 zone controller and have been very happy with it. The controller was delivered fast and was packed well. The unit was easy to install with the pre-existing wiring I had from my previous controller. I definitely like the more updated features on this unit over my older one. The included instructions were easy to read which made set up a breeze.

Very nice Hunter Irrigation timer

This Hunter 6-station irrigation timer is just what I needed. I just added another 2 zones to my backyard and this controller came in handy. I was able to installed it with ease according the my old Hunter 4 station timer. The instructions were easy to follow and the wires matched up perfectly. After my installation, I tested the timer and zones and everything worked and I had no issues.

Works as intended.

I replaced a unit from like 1996 with this irrigation controller. This model has some extra features the old model did not have. However, I personally have not yet found any real use for them. The method of controlling manual irrigation was actually a bit more simple and easy to do on the older unit. Also, the method of setting up automatic irrigation works great yet the older system was easier to understand in this aspect also. There are no problems with this system but some of the control methods could be simplified imho.
