I’ve been looking for hiking boots with ankle support and removable insoles for my orthotics! This pair is great, very sturdy and the grip is good. The only thing that would make it better is if it was waterproof.I got my true size.

I purchased these for a trip to Japan. We were going to be walking all day, every day for more than a week, with some uncertainty about the weather, and temperature, so I wanted something that would work for whatever situation we encountered. These worked out beautifully. My feet were always a comfortable temperature (it was about 5-10 degrees outside), had great traction on all different surfaces and looked really cute. I did end up changing the insole to a Gel one, to help my feet last a little longer each day, and my ankles did rub a little (but I have weird ankles), but overall, I think they were fantastic and intend to wear them when we go to Canada later in the year. I may even purchase a pair for my husband too..
These are quite lightweight & fit my wide ish foot well. Not particularly “grippy” so wouldn’t be suited to rough tracks.I went with my usual size despite the suggestion to size down. I wish these sites that sell shoes online would give some indication as to the width of the items - to me it’s just as important as the length & lack of that info has resulted in many returns.

The most comfortable supportive boots around. I have numerous foot problems including a recently sprained ankle and these have been a godsend.
