The Hush Puppy Torpedo Lace-Up Shoe is a comfortable and well balanced shoe. These were comfortable straight out of the box. The only complaint I have is the lacing style that Hush Puppies use when they package the shoes. They use a continuous straight bar style that does not adjust well with the laces they use. However a quick change of lacing and you are on your way to wearing a comfortable black business or formal shoe.

Incredibly comfortable and good value shoes. I have bought two pairs - one for home and one for work. My feet are a little wider than normal so the extra width provided by the Torpedo is appreciated by me and way more comfortable than the usual hard soled leather shoes that I have been spending my life in at work. I have had them for a month now - so far so good. Very happy.

Ordered on-line. Arrived within the week. Shoes are great - very comfortable - already had bought Hush Puppies (different design) in the past - so was confident the shoe size would be the same within the brand allowing on-purchase

These shoes are so comfortable! I am on to my second pair! My first pair lasted about 3 years. I wore them 5 days a week, 48 weeks of the year! They are hard wearing but comfortable.
Initially disappointed, as they didn't look like the kind of torpedoes I'm used to. But I put them in tubes one and two to give them a test fire anyway. Lucky it wasn't real combat, because it only hit the enemy sub with a dull, rubbery thud. I soon realised my mistake, however, as I'd neglected to tie the laces in a double-knot. I'm hoping the next test-fire will yield better results. Meanwhile, I discovered by chance they make excellent shoes, so I'm wearing them whenever I'm on deck, and have already received a number of compliments from the crew.
Great school shoes, especially on sale. Child has wide feet& these fit, & are comfortable. This is 2nd pair, so was able to just order online. Previous pair have lasted 12 mths with weekly use & still going in other household. So good for, quality& great price.
Torpedo Lace Up shoe by Hush Puppies is a very reliable and stubborn product. In fact I have been wearing them to work, five days a week, dry and wet seasons, for the last 9 years. In average each pair would last for three years and needs very little of maintenance or polishing. So each pair was close to be worn up I went to Myer buy another pair, because the price in Myer has been very constant over the past 9 years, and the price range is affordable and suitable in the office environment, not too expense but economical and appropriate for business etiquette.
These shoes are, by far, the best footwear I have ever owned. MYER always stocks quality products and merchandise, and these are no exception. I called ahead, to make sure they had them in stock. The call to store was a great experience, and it was like I was speaking to a good friend. I was on my way to pick them up 20 minutes later. When making the purchase, I was able to buy a second pair for half price, which was too good to pass up. I almost didn't want to leave a review because that means others may catch on to how good these shoes are... but, I know it will be years until I need new shoes again, and when the time comes I won't go anywhere else. MYER is my store.
The shoes were comfortable to wear almost from the beginning, whereas some other shoes require some time to wear in. I am familiar with Hush Puppies brand, and purchased another pair because they have a wide fit and a cushioned sole. The style of these Hush Puppies is a little different from earlier pairs, but they have the same comfort features.
Beware! The sole of these shoes are hollow that's why they feel light and bouncy. The shoes were worn few times and the sole split on both shoes, especially at the heels resulting in throwing them away.Although, the shoes looked like new, we were disappointed with the quality of the sole.I will not recommend and will never buy them again.
