I didn't have to look around for long before buying this chainsaw. Such a good brand for a really good price. I needed it for regular use at home, cutting sections of trees for firewood. The saw comes packaged with the bar and chain separate, but its really easy to set-up. Starting up and using the saw is very easy. The engine runs smoothly, with no smoke at all, no matter how you hold it (unlike others). I have had to fell a tree recently and it handled it no problem whatsoever. Its comfortable and very efficient at cutting. I highly recommend this chainsaw to anyone looking for a reliable saw for home use. You can't go wrong with Husqvarna - good kit and online help/videos etc.

Good quality affordable chain saw. Just felled and sned 3 gnarly old fruit trees. Saw handled well. For such a small saw its quite powerful, started struggling through around 40cm trunk but I think this was more the angle of my cut and the weight of the tree resting on the bar. I took it out started again and there were no issue.

I bought this saw today pull out the box fuel it up call the instructions and fired right up first pull. Used it for a little bit small cutting jobs that I have to do around my property. It worked quite well for such a small side. It will be my go-to soft or small jobs.

Cutting a sweet gum, and magnolia.
14 May 2024

Just bought it, and cut down a 14"diameter sweet gum in about 3 minutes. Was pleased with it's performance, then a small magnolia which both were infected with canker, and beginning to get termites. I like it better than my Stihl I had before. I like Husqvarna"s design better for cutting closer to the ground, and it not picking up sand at the air inlet as my Stihl had done, and scratched the cylinder wall. The vent, and the bar are on opposing sides.

I grew up as a Stilh saw man, my grandfather and father would have nothing but Stilh. We cut a lot of wood annually as a group, so when I sold my line of Stilh saws and made the change to Husqvarna my grandfather and father just about band me from our cutting group. That is until they witnessed how I could cut as fast, as accurate and continue cutting while they were constantly stopping to re-fuel their Stilh saws. At the end of the day my arms felt great while theirs were like jello due to hanging on to higher vibration and beaver Stilh saws.I have a full line of Husqvarna saws today, everything from 14” bar saws to 36” bar saws. I have a total of 6 different model Husqvarna saws and none have left me disappointed at any point. This new 130 model I just purchased is a wicked, powerful, light weight piece of equipment that fit into my full like of Huskys perfectly. Of course this model is not for your large tree dropping, however this saw will wax through limbing and topping these large trees like cutting through butter with a hot knife. The only issue I have with the Husqvarna 130 is that the handle is slightly in the way for filling the oil tank for the bar oil, I’m sure I’m being picky but I like to keep my saws clean and don’t like to spill over when filling. The handle location does interfere with the line up to add the bar oil which is why I marked quality issues under the con section. Like I said I’m picky but it really is not a problem. While just like to see a better filling area for the oiler tank. Other than that the say is perfect!

Reliable saw
16 June 2024

Bought this saw to replace an older Husky that lasted for 20 years. Because of the previous saw, I opted to purchase a Husky 130, just the right size for my use. The saw works fine, looking forward to many years of service from it.

This chainsaw is for pruning, trimming, and storm cleanup, and it does what it is advertised to do. I've only used it a couple of times, and it does cut off prematurely. I hope it is just the newness of the saw, and it will work out over time.

perfect balance and usability
21 August 2021

I think it's fair to say know more than the average bear about usability. I'm professor of human factors research at two medical schools (Univ of Penn and Univ at Buffalo), My Husqvarna chain saw has excellent handling and balance. The safety features are also very well designed. Last, the ability to cut is superior to any chain saw I've every had.
