As an avid hiker/backpacker, I am always on the lookout for clever ways to pack water filtration systems. This one is my favorite because it folds up really easily when it's empty and the filter doesn't take up half the bottle like some others. It is surprisingly easy to hold to drink from despite its soft exterior. A must-have on the trail!

I recently got Hydrapak Flux 1.5 liter to try. This bottle is great for an emergency, or if you are out for a hike. It is a light weight collapsible bottle. Easy to carry along at all times. The bottle comes with a filter to give you 1500 liters of clean drinkable water. This bottle is very easy to store so you can use it when you need it.

This bottle provides a good balance between weight and durability, compared to other soft flasks it is much tougher yet still light. It's great how it can compress as needed to save on space and the built-in water filter is extremely compact given what it does. The only downside is the filter part of the lid cannot be removed and there isn't any way to get the non-filter version of the lid without buying a regular Flux bottle. Other than that this is a great buy especially if you need a built-in water filter.

First off I will say the concept of this bottle is amazing. It is easy to fit into my hiking bag or in airplane carry on. It folds down and takes up very little space. The biggest flaw in this bottle is the lid. Once the bottle is filled up it is very hard to take the lid off to drink. Due to the flexibility the grib is hard... I tend to over squeeze and make a.mess while drinking. If the lif was a different style this would easily be a 5 star!
Bought the Flux+ 1.5L after seeing a review on a well renowned bikepacking YouTube channel. Have taken it on a few trips already and like it so much better than other leading brands that I have used. Fills bottles and bladders faster, stows down small inside my frame bag or hip pack, and the material means it won't fail nearly as fast as other designs I have used. I plan on purchasing other hydrapak products for backpacking and kayaking trips, repeat customer here!
Only have used this once so far but overall, it does what it's supposed to do, transport water. Not totally sure about the filter in this? I wouldn't go using it in any murky or real dirty water. For that, I'll stick to my Grayl. For day hikes or bike trips, it works. We'll see how durable it is in the long haul as I will continue to use this but make sure it doesn't get around anything sharp or pointy. It has some durability to it but doesn't feel like a lot. Basically, think what your bladder in a pack can take and use it towards this. Overall though, I would rate it 5 stars, since it does do what it's supposed to do and does eliminate bulkiness as you drink down and breaks down to basically a size of a baseball when not in use and is really light. I can’t say enough good things about this water bottle! I love the fact that it has great capacity, whilst still being extremely portable and easy to fold for on the go. It’s perfect for camping, but the possibilities are honestly endless. I personally find it to be absolutely amazing for small purses with limited space! Highly recommend!
The Hydrapak Flux 1.5L is a very high quality product. I'll get right into the 2 main things I love about it. #1, it folds up to take with you very easily by rolling/folding the bladder (bag) of this bottle which makes it convenient to transport on hikes/bikes etc. And #2 the bladder of this Hydrapak (bottle) is very, very durable. And I think this is what sets it apart from other products that are similar. Very high quality and durable. Nice filter on this, easy to clean, easy to transport. I love everything about this, and not to mention, the amount of water it holds. 1.5L is excellent.
I was skeptical about the Hydrapak Flux water bottle because of the strange filter, but I could taste the difference when I drank tap water out of it. It's rather thick which helps whenever it may fall when full of water. I have a different filtered water bottle, but it is rather bulky so it takes a loud of room in my bag. This bottle can be flattened so that it leaves more space in my gym bag, or backpack.
the cap of befree is always the weak point of it. this filter solved the problem by adding a hinged cap. and twist lock to make it water tight. like the design. bag is better than befree as well. basically it is a better version of befree filter + hydrapak flux bottle . recommend to buy
