This Bottle Never Leaves My Side!Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am obsessed with this Hydro Flask, but it absolutely deserves the hype. It is the perfect size and shape, and the insulation power is unmatched. It keeps water ice cold, but can also keep hot soup perfectly warm all day. This feature is incredible for me, because I have no place to reheat lunch foods at work or on the road. The bottle is top quality and very durable; it has been thrown in my dishwasher dozens of times and still looks brand new. I appreciate that it is BPA free AND phthalate free. The fact that HydroFlask offers a lifetime warranty for this demonstrates their complete confidence in their products. I share that high confidence, so I would definitely recommend this to everyone. ... MoreThis Bottle Never Leaves My Side!Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am obsessed with this Hydro Flask, but it absolutely deserves the hype. Had a chance to try out this insulated bottle on a couple of spring day hikes in the mountains near Vancouver. It's noticeably lighter than other models with the same volume so that's a definite advantage. It also fits nicely into the water bottle pockets on my 16L and 20L daypacks. No issues with the build quality or finish. As for performance, I filled the bottle with boiling water in the morning. By lunch it was still fairly hot, but it was lukewarm by the end of the day. I have a heavier model from another company that keeps the water hot all day, so I guess you do lose some insulating capacity with the thinner and lighter materials. It's up to you to decide if the trade-off is worth it. It's also worth noting there's nothing holding back the water once you ... MoreHad a chance to try out this insulated bottle on a couple of spring day hikes in the mountains near Vancouver. I have a number of these bottles and they’re the best I’ve found so far for the price. I have a small collection so I can properly wash and air out the silicone seals so they don’t get musty (which I recommend) and their size easily fits in my bag while being large enough to supply water for hours because I only have one salivary gland so I drink a lot throughout the day while often not having access or breaks for 5+ hours at a time. This also means that I’m able to carry a 32 oz of water at the same weight as a Norma 24 oz with the difference in actual bottle weight because of the trail style. They’ve survived unintentional falls with dents but otherwise no damage and it doesn’t affect their ability to hold temp at all. I know I’ll be continuing to buy more as I ... MoreI have a number of these bottles and they’re the best I’ve found so far for the price. Hydro flask isn’t hydro flask anymore. Meaning that it just isn’t the best on the market nowadays. I bought this hydro because I saw an ad saying that you can customize it. The customization is the only reason why I rated it. The product itself… not that good. I usually leave ice water in my water bottles and it’ll still have ICE by the next morning. When I used this water bottle, the ice only lasted between 3-4 hours. Also, I just recently dropped it around 1ft in the air and it left a HUGE dent. I was so disappointed because there is literally cheaper water bottles that work the same or even better than Hydro Flasks. They are a classic, don’t get me wrong but I like to be satisfied with every dollar I spend.
I have several Hydro Flasks, Yetis and Klean Kanteens and I love them all for different reasons. For a bottle this size, I am looking to keep water cool/cold for long periods of time and they do just that. The one thing I love most about Hydro Flask is that the large capacity bottles 32 and 40oz, they can fit in my hand and I can drink a full bottle with one hand. A Yeti of same capacity is wider and I have a hard time getting a grip around the bottle especially when it is full. I was interested in this 'lighter' version and decided to give it a go. I purchased the blue - "Celestine' - and it is beautiful. Very similar to the Laguna colour from the Summer '22 collection but this is a metallic blue and its gorgeous. I purchased the blue - "Celestine' - and it is beautiful. Very similar to the Laguna colour from the Summer '22 collection but this is a metallic blue and its gorgeous. There is not a huge difference in weight that I can tell, but a backpacker might. The thing I love most about this, other than the colour, is that the bottle is even slimmer than the normal 32oz. So the bottle is slimmer, fits in the hand even better and also fits in the car cup holder. A previous reviewer posted a photo of the size comparison and it is accurate and depicts the difference well. For people with smaller hands who like this capacity, this might be a great alternative for you. Only drawback at this point is the lack of colour options but again, that blue is stunning and the brown looks like too.
The idea of this bottle is great! It is lightweight so perfect to hike or travel with. BUT you sacrifice staying cold capabilities and the durability in how it is made. I used mine a handful of times, never dropped it but recently noticed it already had a ding at the top! For the price I was not expecting it to get banged up so fast especially since it was never dropped or bumped it hard. It kept my water cold but not as long as my regular hydro flask bottle. Ultimately I ended up returning this even though I did like it. I will stick to my regular hydro flask and other water bottle brands even if they may be slightly heavier!
I needed a 40 ounce size bottle, especially on hot days here in So California I always run out of water too quickly in the 32 ounce size bottles. I got the 40 ounce bottle in the “Laguna” color & the “wide mouth flex sip” lid in the color Snapper (dark fuchsia pink) and Laguna. I thought the Laguna color was going to be more of an aqua blue, but it’s not. It’s more of a dark lagoon blue. When you put it next to something that’s true blue you see the difference in the color, but for some reason when I photograph it, it just looks blue, but in person it has a dark blue green color to it. It’s kind of hard to photograph & get the color right. But it’s a beautiful bright fun color!! And I like it with the snapper color lid for a pop of color contrast. I really like the “wide mouth flex sip” lid. It pours perfectly into your mouth and the ice doesn’t obstruct the flow of water. It took a minute to get used to how you open the lid to pour and then close or lock it. I’ve just never had a lid like that on a water bottle, but I really like it. It keeps my water cold all day long and I live in Southern California and it has been in the low hundreds every day since I started using the water bottle, I take it with me everywhere I go.
I felt obligated to write this review so other people don't potentially run into the same "issue" I did. While the bottle itself is great in function and quality, as expected from my previous Hydroflasks, the color was not as it appeared in ads. I had ordered the Celestine color as I initially saw it on a Facebook ad in which it looked like an aqua/turquoise/jade green combination color that was unique and I liked it. At the time I had ordered it, the color looked the same way on the website, but when I opened the box upon delivery, it is much more of just a standard anodized blue appearance. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice color and more recent ads as well as the website now seem to reflect the true color, but I just wanted to put this out there in case ... MoreI felt obligated to write this review so other people don't potentially run into the same "issue" I did. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars versus 5
I love this thing so much. I didn't mind my smaller hydroflask but I was getting tired of constantly having to fill it up. It feels like my water lasts me a decent amount of time now before I have to refill it. My water will stay cold up to 24 hours. It'll stay cold even longer if I put ice cubes inside. It did get dented after falling out of my bag, which I'm VERY bummed about. Especially since none of my smaller bottles ever got dented from falling. Overall, I highly recommend this bottle as it does a fantastic job.
Ok. My daughter bought me this as a gift as I like to play a variety of sports and the large size is convenient for hydrating over some hours during the day.I’ve had mine for a bit over a year now and it just doesn’t keep anything cool anymore. I started noticing this a few months ago and recently put a light down into the can to see what might be going on. There is an inner and outer metal liner and if they have any air leakage it won’t keep liquids cool, and could lead to some nasty mold issues as water circulated between the inner and outer compartments. I cannot see any cracks but there were a lot of ugly weld burns from where the bases were welded together. I don’t taste any off flavors but a bottle with half ice and half water doesn’t last two hours outside. ... MoreOk. The exterior is in fine condition. For $50 dollars I expect a lot better performance from such a flask. Gonna give Takeya try and toss this one into recycling.
