Hydro flask 12 oz food jar

I am disappointed as I expected the jar to keep food warm longer. I was going on a lake cruise. Put boiling water in and then called in a to go order at LaMadeline. Got to restaurant 10 min later and emptied water and poured in soup. Containers were then put into an insulated bag. Two hours later the soup was warm but not hot. I don’t think this will keep food warm more than 3 hours at most. Also a pain to clean. Instructions say to remove gasket from lid when cleaning. I’m glad that I have them better than nothing but I am now in search of another product that will keep soup HOT for up to 4 hours.

Perfect food jar for kids lunches

Love the wide mouth of this food jar as it's easier to fill without making a mess. The wider opening and shallower shape of the container is also great for smaller kids so they can eat without adult help. Keeps food hot for a long time and I find it simple and fast to clean and remove the inner seal. The rubberized lid is a great idea so you can open it without much effort. The 12oz size can fit a lot of food as well.

My go to shop for Hydro Flask. Flasks always come in original packaging and always in mint condition. In my opinion Agave is the most beautiful colour Hydro Flasks are available in. These insulated food jars are lightweight and leak proof and easy to clean. My only wish is that lids were stainless steel, not plastic. Maybe in the future they will be. Delivery is super fast.

Perfect for sending ramen along with the kids' school and work lunches. Stays hot enough to enjoy after several hours. Jar is sturdy and lid is absolutely leak proof, both of which are appreciated as kids are not apt to treat things gently. Wide opening is great format for soups and stews to allow easy spoon access without having to transfer to a serving bowl. Very useful additional to our Hydro Flask arsenal!Pro tip: Quick internal pre-heating with hot water beforehand will extend thermal effectiveness as hot food will not have to dissipate heat raising internal surface temperature when first added.

I have to first say that I found this container near impossible to open the first time. It could just be me, but I ended up having to get two silicone pads to use for leverage. If you can get it back open, I suppose this could go in the plus category because the container does not leak at all. I put soup in it and just put it on my car seat while driving and I didn’t see any spillage. Other than that, this is a good container. It keeps things warm and cold for a reasonable amount of time. I pack stuff at about 7:30 in the morning and by the time I eat lunch at noon the food is still at a good temperature. I’ve tried soup, ramen, fruit, and even cheese and it was all still good almost five hours later. It does not keep my food warm, even for 3 hours. I do not like my food very hot, but this did not keep it even a little warm. The instructions should include a picture of the lid with the rubber seal in place. Since it says to take it off for washing, I did that. Then I proceeded to put it back on incorrectly 2 different ways. Each way would not allow the lid to be screwed on. I went online to see if I could see the inside of the lid and I couldn't. Finally, my husband figured it out for me. LOL Instructions or a photo would have been helpful. Try it. You can stretch the seal and have it go under the lip in the lid and it fits multiple ways.

this insulated food container is excellent at keeping contents at a regulated temperature, contained [no leaking], with a durable material that withstands backpacking trips, school backpacks, and rolling around the back of a truck. my kids use this container and the 8oz version to store their yogurt parfaits cold and soups, curries etc hot to take to school; my husband and i make the same use for work lunch items, and we all use them backpacking.
