Keeps cold (very long, like whole day) better than warm (maybe 3 hrs or so b4 you need topup for a warmish experience).OVERALLI would say go ahead and splash the cash. Great designed product, care has been invested and as long as mold issue does not become big one, HJ still a neck ahead. Moving forward, I would love to see modifications to enhence mold aspect (enable cleaning better), better price (of course) and weight reduction where possible. Mind you, it's slightly lighter than a Stanley so that's already a win.I'm still a HJ camp advocate, and would still have bought it per se.And oh, did I mention I emailed them asking for assistance for special discount due to my medical reasons and got no reply (not even a customary reply). Well, money talks and I guess it's tough love for me. That said, I still love you HJ and thanks for the delivery and design :)

I never thought that I would change cups. I have over 20 of another cup in my house and so I thought, why? Until I got my first HydroJug. My old cups are now in a cupboard and all I use are my HydroJugs. The fact that I can take it anywhere and not have to worry about spilling anything is amazing! I love that I can close the straw at work and while outside doing yard work and nothing will get down through the straw. I have been stung by a bee twice in my mouth using my old cups because it was open to the environment. Working in the medical field, it is nice to close the straw and know nothing is getting into my water. I also use them with my Diet Dr Pepper and it works great. I do really like the color of the material but I really thought this particular item would be double insulated to be more of a true 24 hour insulated drink. While the ice does last a while it cannot compare to my less than $20 one that does. For that reason I would only recommend this brand when there's a good sale because I expect more than cute colors, 40oz, and a clear lid for this price. It is also not leak proof unless you screw the lid on very tightly which can be an issue for those with arthritis or carpal tunnel. Additionally the material for the lid is soft so it can become permanently dented as mine did during shipping and there should be concerns that they had to create a sleeve to prevent wear on the bottom finish of the cup. [Rewarded Review] Doesn't Spill, Keeps Drinks Cold, Overall LOVE IT
8 January 2024

My favorite feature of this cup is that it doesn't leak! I prefer drinking through a straw, and I love that I can still have a "straw cup" without worrying about spills when commuting. I also love the handle, and it fits well in cup holders since the handle is higher up on the cup. The size is great, and the cup keeps drinks cold for a LONG time; when I fill the cup up with ice water, it will still have ice floating around in the water the following day (24+ hours later). Because the cup is so tall, I do have to stand at the fridge holding it while it fills (too tall to fit under the dispenser). One other downside is sometimes if you screw the lid on really tight, you can tell that the straw must be RIGHT against the bottom of the cup because you have to "drink ... MoreMy favorite feature of this cup is that it doesn't leak! Not a huge difference, but noticeable; fixed easily by either trimming the straw end or just not going all HULK on tightening the cup lid! lol
