Awesome keyboard!

This was my first time purchasing a mechanical keyboard and it is definitely worth the money. I use this keyboard for both gaming and work and feel that is suits both really well. The keys are responsive, the sound is great (not too loud), and the customisation of colours is an added bonus.I would strongly recommend this keyboard.

Best keyboard I have ever used.

Coming from a Logitech G Pro keyboard, I used to think that was the ultimate esports oriented keyboard. This one is even better. It's smaller, simpler, and cleaner looking. The keys are great. I purchased the HyperX pudding keycaps for it and couldn't be more satisfied. The lights are bright, especially when you're using the keyboard in a dark room, so you have to spend time in the software to learn how to tone it down. My lights are toned down to where it's dim but you can still see the colors and I love it.

Recently I bought a pc and was in need of a keyboard to finish my setup. After looking for keyboards I settled for this one. So here’s my honest opinion about it. The keyboard is really nice, I love the rgb feature and I like that the keys aren’t too far apart or close to each other. I’m still getting used to keyboard and mouse since I switched from PS4. I honestly love this keyboard a lot and I’m satisfied with its quality. The keys are just slightly noisy but it doesn’t bother me too much since the game audio with my headphones cancel out the noise that the keyboard is producing. None of my friends have complained about hearing the keyboard in the background while I’m in calls with them, so that’s something good. Great so far!

I purchased this keyboard mainly to be my "work" keyboard in that I would keep it in the office for the few times I don't work from home. I have a Corsair K70 RGB (first verison, not the Mk.2) w/ Cherry MX Red switches. As a self-described Corsair fanboy, I was a little bit leery about trying the HyperX switches, but I can say that I don't really notice any difference between the two (a .2mm difference in actuation and travel distance, where the HyperX Reds are less on both). The RGB is awesome, and the utility (HyperX NGENUITY) is much better than Corsair's iCUE software. I especially like the ability to save three profiles to the keyboard's on-board memory, and that NGENUITY doesn't have to constantly run in the background in order to show dynamic effects, ... MoreI purchased this keyboard mainly to be my "work" keyboard in that I would keep it in the office for the few times I don't work from home. It's super easy to unplug the keyboard and take it with, to the point where I'm strongly considering using the Alloy Origins Core as my primary keyboard at home and taking it to work with me when I need to.Overall, the keyboard seems very well made, and is well worth the money. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard.

HyperX Alloy Origins Core TKL
20 May 2022

I really like this reduced size (10 keyless) HyperX keyboard. It takes up less space on my desktop which is one of the reasons I purchased it. The keys have a nice clicky positive feedback feel. I can easily see the keys and type in in a dark room which is the second reason I purchased it. The HyperX software that can be downloaded for the keyboard makes it easy to configure the lighting features and lighting color of the keyboard. Keyboard has a quality feel, it is sturdy and should be durable long term

Mushy Keys By the time I got them.
4 December 2020

By the time I came back home from Best Buy to try out the keyboard, I was ecstatic since this was going to be my first ever mechanical keyboard. To be more specific, I went for the Hyper x Red switch variant for this one. So I started to unbox it and finally started to feel the keys. The Backspace, Enter, Right Shift, Spacebar, and left shift were all mushy. They felt like my 10 year old hp membrane keyboard. Honestly for the money I payed for clocking in at around 90+, I expected at least built quality from this reputable brand. The rbg was nicely lit and a had a variety of options. But it doesn’t make up the problem. Atleast Best Buy’s return policy made it a smooth transaction to get my money back. Hence the reading for a 2 star rather than 1.

Overall great keyboard
12 December 2020

Great alternative to the Logitech G Pro RGB mechanical keyboard. Relatively light, solid construction, doesn't take up a lot of desk space and RGB looks absolutely gorgeous. A couple of things to take note if you're looking into buying this. Actuation force is low on this keyboard, feels almost too low sometimes. I would lightly place my fingers on the keys and the keyboard will respond, which gets kind of annoying. I'm switching over from a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro which requires higher actuation force and it's taking a while to get used to it. On the positive side, it's a lot more responsive and the keys don't make as much noise, which is good if you're a streamer or something but I do prefer louder keys. Overall, it's an excellent and well built keyboard!

Solid Option with Great Response Time
5 March 2023

Been using this for over a year and a half and still works really well. I put some Steelseries Pudding Keycaps on it and the RGB looks fantastic. The response time is great and feels the best, especially for most rhythm games. The only gripe I have with this board are the stabilizers; they are rattly as heck. As long as you don't mind them, this thing is a solid performing keyboard and will do you wonders for years.

Spilled coffee on it by accident, still works!
6 January 2022

literally the day after I bought this keyboard, I spilled espresso all over my keyboard. My heart sunk into my stomach, thinking I ruined a brand new keyboard. I took the keys off, which was surprisingly very easy to do, and wiped what I could with alcohol. waited a day before I put it back together and plugged it in, which to my pleasant surprise, the keyboard still works! No change to the quality whatsoever. I know some people don't mind the sound the keys make but I love it. Very responsive which is great for the games I play. The backlight is very vibrant, which is a huge difference from the Corsair RGB keyboard it replaced. Very, very satisfied with this purchase. Superb budget TKL choice
3 October 2022

***Please note that the photos are not indicative of the out-of-box product. I installed new keycaps and am using the Glorious wooden wrist rest, neither of which are included in the box. When this product is at 72% of its MSRP, it is a no-brainer to get for a budget mechanical TKL (tenkeyless) keyboard. The aluminum case is solidly built and has a nice heft. The HyperX red switches feel excellent and is on par with Cherry MX Reds, and can feel even better once lubricated with Superlube or proper switch lubricant like Krytox.Mods I have done and would recommend:1. Lubricated every switch with superlube.2. Replaced keycaps with shine-through PBT keycaps.3. Tape mod (cover the back of the PCB with scotch tape)4.
