They are light weight to the point you won't even notice that you're wearing them. The top cushion and ear cups are very nice and firm but still soft enough to conform to your head and ears. They also look fantastic, personally I don't like "loud" headsets that scream HEY I'M GAMER. These are minimal and subtle. Love the red on black look they have going and honestly these matched my setup the best. Now the issue I had with these are the sound. For a pair of headsets at 150$ there is no software made by Hyper X that can control the EQ settings. Out of the box they are very treble heavy and maybe that's what fps and high actions gamers want. For me personally there was no bass and that was the deal breaker. Again if they had EQ to maybe bring up the bass that would have been great but they didn't. I also didn't want to go look up a tutorial on a third party EQ program. I already have enough stuff running in the background. These are a good pair of headsets they just need a bit of tuning. Again maybe that's is what is popular and I'm just spoiled coming from using Astro A40's but it was not for me.

I recommend it still though getting it on sale is a plus. My only complaint is that the black on black of the wired version of this product is unavailable in wireless. The wireless version only comes in red/black, which while it looks fine would not be my preference were the original colors available.

That is why we still shop at Best Buy. Because they still have brick and mortar stores and we get to check out a lot of the products. My biggest want was for comfort. I get headaches easy from headphones if they are tight. Then sound and latency were next most important. What good are either of those if you cannot wear the headset for long enough to play a few missions? Some of the headsets on the list were not out. These HyperX - Cloud II headsets were out, as were the Logitech. Both sounded equally fantastic with their 7.1 Surround Sound. I mean surprisingly good. Glad they had audio fed to them. Both were pretty comfortable. However the HyperX were more comfortable than the Logitech. So, that was what I chose. They are the most comfortable headphones I have, besides my non-gaming Bose noise canceling 35s.These are a total no-brainer for the PS4. I cannot speak to latency on Steam for PC systems. For those who are hard core gamers, you will need to seek others for giving you that information. My husband was also getting a headset. He was worried about these because they do not have a way to twist the earphones fit his fat head. However, they did feel fine at the store. They are flexible because of the way they are designed, so it wouldn't have been a problem. He has now admitted he should have bought these instead of the pair he bought.Have never run out of battery and they charge quick with USB C. Color changing LED tells you when they are done. They hold a charge well too. They sound as good in the game as they did in the store.I would totally have no hesitation recommending the Cloud II Wireless HyperX headsets.

Comfortable for glasses wearers - LOVE IT!
9 January 2022

I've had this headset for about a month now - I use it at work where I wear it every day for a full workday, and it's very comfortable, even with my glasses.I was a little wary of going with a wireless headset, but I've gone into another room about 150' from my desk and still remained connected with no dropouts - I don't anticipating ever needing more than that. The audio is clear and loud, and the headset does a very good job of blocking out other noise in the office. The volume wheel is a scroll wheel that controls the computer's master volume, so no fiddling with computer and headset volume controls separately.I really like the red LED mute indicator on the end of the mic boom. It's not distracting, but if I look for it, it is visible in my peripheral vision - and the mute button is raised, while the power button is flush, which helps distinguish them by feel while wearing the headset.I've not yet pushed past two days, but this will happily go two full workdays on a single charge, and recharging is quick. The headset will sleep after a period of time with no connection - such as when I shut my computer down for lunch, so there's no concern of forgetting to turn it off. I plug my dongle into a dock on my desktop where I can see it, and there is a clear, but not overly bright red LED glow when it's connected, and it flashes when the headset is not connected, which can help quickly confirm that it's paired.Several other people in my office had this same headset already, and now I know why.

Good wireless headset overall.
19 August 2022

Good headset. Gets a bit sweaty with intense gaming but that's fine.I don't like that I have to hold the button down to power it on. Would be better if it was a toggle.I wish the sound was more neutral. It is quite bassy, but that's not necessarily a negative. The microphone is only okay. All wireless headset microphones are not as good as wired headset microphones, and even then, wired headset mics aren't very good either.I don't use the virtualized 7.1 surround sound gimmick feature. Just keep it in stereo mode.Bought this because I liked the overall comfort of the wired version of this but wanted to go wireless. Would purchase again.

Great Headset, but USB Dongle Breaks Easily
28 December 2022

If you're looking for some good gaming headphones with solid sound quality and a comfortable fit, this is a good pick. I've had these headphones for 9 months now and up until now after a user error accident, they worked great. There is one flaw to this headset, and that is the USB dongle. It is pretty fragile and bends easily enough to where any slight amount of force will permanently bend or break your dongle. Be wary if your PC sits in a tight space, near your legs where you might bump into it, or if you have animals that could brush up against it; any of these things could damage your dongle. Add the fact that the dongle is long , narrow, and is several inches long, it is an accident waiting to happen. Once your dongle is broken, your headset is trash. The headset cannot be paired to another dongle, and HyperX does not sell replacement dongles. The only thing left to do at that point is to contact HyperX support, but they will only help you if you still have the purchase receipt.Overall, this is a great headset that just comes short of being perfect due to some poor design choices on the USB dongle. If you take really good care of your headset, it'll be a great purchase. Otherwise, you may want to consider some other options.

Honestly kinda trash for the price
3 March 2023

Since receiving this headset I’ve had nothing but issues. These issues might be caused by the garbage software: HyperX Ngenuity. The headset settings I’ve saved in the software get reset every time I turn on my pc. If my mic is muted and i walk away from the pc and lose connection, the mic will unmute itself - so i have to be particularly careful if i decide to run to the restroom with the headset on, for example. The speakers and mic seem to have an issue where they’ll randomly start popping as sound plays or mic is used. I’ve never experienced so many issues with a headset before. I’ve used hyperx products in the past and enjoyed them, but these are just hot garbage and not worth a single dollar, let alone $100+.

Really good wireless headphones!!

Pros: no latency issue. Plug in and start using right off the box. You can install hyperx ngenuity app for further customization like mic monitoring or turning on 7.1 surround sound or checking the charge on the headset (can also be toggled from headset itself but you wouldn't know for sure if it's turned on/off). There's physical button to increase/decrease volume or mic on/off which is the best. Biggest con for me is that the extender to fit it to the head is not that extendable. I never had this issue before with a headphone, im extended to the max right now. Another con is that my ears got a bit warm after wearing it for sometime but it wasnt that bad, my previous wired Razer had more breathability to it. All in all I haven't seen any sound lag while playing ... MorePros: no latency issue. Plug in and start using right off the box. Another important point which is more of a pro than a con but kinda annoying oa that ot goes into Sleep Mode after kept idle for a few minutes (like 5 mins) and you have to turn it on again. I guess that ia good because ots saving battery rather than ataying on and wasting a lot of the battery

Use an Equalizer - makes a night & day difference
6 June 2022

I was looking for a replacement for my Sony headphones which sadly fell apart within an year. My primary requirement was listening to music/taking calls. I went with the reviews on this and thought would give a try. At first I felt the quality of the sound was ok but no where near what my Sony/ my prior Bose headsets delivered. I also tried the USB amp but it simply boosted the volume and there wasn't any improvement in Bass. I was about to return these but thought would give a try with an equalizer. Macbooks do not come with a system wide equalizer (only on Apple Music), So I used the eqmac app and it made a night & day difference. My primary requirement was listening to music/taking calls. I went with the reviews on this and thought would give a try. At first I felt the quality of the sound was ok but no where near what my Sony/ my prior Bose headsets delivered. Very Impressed

They feel sturdy, the sound quality right out of the box is great, and the Ngenuity software suite is minimally obtrusive. I was shocked to see they have added an EQ functionality to the Ngenuity software which makes these headphones even better. Just open the software, click enable 7.1 surround sound, choose an EQ setting (or create your own) if that's your preference, and you're ready to go. These blow the Arctis 7+ that I returned out of the water, seriously, there is no comparison. My only complaint is the color scheme, the red is a little loud. Please release this same headset in a grey/black variation and you'll cover all your bases from a user-preference standpoint.
