I saw a lot of videos and reviews about this product talking about how good it was, and I was really excited to try it our myself. Nonetheless, I was hesitant to buy the normal sized one as I was not sure about whether I would like it or not. Thank goodness I did! After I washed my face with a cleanser, the next step of my routine was the toner, and so I decided to try it out. Before applying this, my skin was clear, and it just had one or two pimples in it. When I was applying the toner, my skin felt slightly tingly and itchy, but I continued and when I looked into the mirror when I was ready to apply my moisturizer, I saw tiny red bumps around my cheek, undereye and eyelid. It burns. Definitely a YMMV product

I’ve given this product a fair shot and I know that it’s holy grail status for many people. I have friends that love it. However, for me, it stings and burns, almost immediately upon application. I really wanted it to work out for me but it didn’t. For context, I do have rosacea and sensitive skin, but I’m still able to use plenty of acid toners just fine. In the past I have used more hardcore toners like The ordinary’s glycolic acid toner without this sort of pain and lasting irritation. I don’t get hives but it definitely irritates my skin. I do believe the other 5 star reviews though. I think it’s worth giving a try because for many people it is a lovely toner. Just be sure to listen to your skin and stop using it if it’s causing you issues. Beauty ISN’T pain.

Love!

I love it so far! For reference, I have very dry and typically inflamed flaky skin. Yesterday I had tried a new face wash that sucked all the moisture out of my face and left it stripped/dry/flaky and a bit irritated. After applying this it helped to calm my skin and add the moisture back in along with leaving a hint of glass skin look. I think this toner will be great for those with dry to very dry skin. I also tested the Tirtir milk toner at the same time on the other side of my face. I really love that one as well, but I feel that this toner has a slight edge and compliments my very dry skin a bit better. If you have tried this one but it was too much for your oily/normal skin then I would definitely recommend trying the Tirtir toner as well! I will update my ... MoreI love it so far! Non irritating, even for sensitive skin

I got a mini sized bottle of this free with an order promo and it's nice, but not super impressive. I have severely dry, dehydrated skin with some redness. It's pretty sensitive and I'm never sure what will work (even if it says something is made for sensitive skin), so I was happily surprised when this didn't cause any unwanted reactions. The texture is a liquidy milk consistency and it doesn't smell like anything. It looks like the full sized bottle is glass, just like the brand's Mugwort toner, which is always a plus for me. I do layer several toners and it didn't seem to interfere with other products. When used by itself, though, I didn't find it incredibly hydrating. Again, though, my skin is extremely dry and dehydrated, so perhaps for someone with more usual dry skin issues, it would do the trick. I definitely don't think there would be any need to worry about it being oily or causing breakouts for someone with normal or oily skin, either. It's very gentle, but I think my skin needs something more powerfully hydrating and moisturizing.

First things first, I can def smell the rice in here. It's not a bad smell and it's very faint, but since I'm applying it to my face you can smell it. (I can only tell cause it's the same smell from when I'm washing rice)The actual toner is super nice, stings my lips sometimes if I have cuts on my lips (but so would any other toner since it's a CUT on my lips)An asian relative said my skin looked brighter, which I hadn't noticed but yeah after that I realised how much brighter my face lookedThe toner is very thin and lightweight, and doesn't feel too sticky to meThis is rlly vague but the picture I attached kinda represents the viscousity of the toner - like water but slightlyy thicker (but not enough to notice)Only complant is that I sometimes forget to shake ... MoreFirst things first, I can def smell the rice in here. This was my first Asian toner. So different from Western toners and far superior. It's milky and watery and makes my skin instantly softer when I put it on. Over time it also seemed to balance my extremely oily skin. However I found that out absolutely does not play well with makeup. No matter how little or how much I put on, with my fingers or a cotton swab, or how long I let it dry, it ALWAYS made my makeup pill. No matter how gently I put my makeup on, patting with my fingertips, I would be left with little flesh-colored blobs of soft grain on my fingers and my face. Even if I managed to work around this, or on the rare occasion when it didn't happen, my makeup would always settle into my pores in a way that was very unsightly.
