With this guitar you can elicit a warm resonant sound that is well suited for playing jazz blues country and rock.The set-in JSM / African Mahogany neck is fitted with a 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard that boasts abalone and acrylic block inlays and the headstock is equipped with a set of Gotoh tuning machines. Gotoh machinery is used in the bridge and tailpiece too—specifically a Gotoh 510BN tune-o-matic style bridge and a GE101A tailpiece.For electronics the JSM100 provides Super 58 humbucking pickups that offer a warm bluesy sound with a bit of growl. These pickups are selectable via a 3-way toggle switch and can be adjusted using the dedicated volume and tone controls for each pickup. A hardshell case is included.
