First time buying a guitar (blind) online but it proved to be a success. Free delivery and it arrived well packaged and undamaged within 2 working days. The bass was set up and even almost in tune!The bass itself came with XL strings (nice) and has low action so is very easy to play. Lovely body finish too. The string spacing is very suitable for a first-time 5 string.The pick ups and active electrickery sound MEGA. Great value for money and my first ibanez so will definitely buy another in the future and order from GAK again10/105*100%

The guitar is very comfortable to play thanks to its slender neck and the overall shape. Came set up well, I only needed to do some minor tweaks to string scale and height. It's versatile - the two pickups together with the active EQ offer a variety of tones, suitable for different genres. Excellent instrument for the price.

Wanted something completely different from my Yamaha BB bass guitar. Modern looking, light feeling guitar with 3 band active EQ. Nice sounding Bass nob with a heavy B string for Heavy Rock/Metal. Power Tap switch is a nice touch with light sound in top setting and a heavier sound when switch is in the middle setting and then a kinda mixture of the two in down setting. Overall a great entry modern looking and sounding 5 String Bass that doesn't cost the earth.

Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, as I'd say the quality certainly matches the affordable price. I particularly like the EQ feature which is very effective in achieving a variety of different tones. However, the bass itself sounds quite twangy, especially in the low E string. Although that might just be because the strings still need breaking in. No delays in delivery, solid customer experience! Would shop here again.

I've never played bass before, but I play guitar. Play a bass was my dream. And my colleagues gifted me a certificate to buy a bass guitar. After research, I chose this one. It was a great combination of price, quality, and amount of strings.It came to me in a couple of days and when I tried it I've gone to nirvana b/c of sound.I'm not a specialist but I do recommend this bass.
Nice design, good sound, and is lightweight. I like small string spacing, so 16.5 mm helps a lot. These basses can come with some manufacturing/cosmetic issues, I tried a few, some with similar problems. Some can be fixed, some can't... like the strap support bolts under an angle, dents on the bass body under the paint, etc. I tried more expensive Ibanez basses (605) hoping the quality control is better. Unfortunately, it is not. I never tried premium, tho.
the bass feels amazing when played, looks wise the weatherd black gives it a really nice and sleek look when on stage and just fits in with everything. the sound was just perfect the mix between the single coil and humbucker makes it extremely versitile. the little issue was the knobs were a little wierd at the start as the circuit had a little issue but it got fixed instantly. the power tap is extremely beautiful as you get a mix between the single coil and humbucker tone and it gives it this unique tone i feel you can only get on this bass
This is a fantastic bass for the price. My main bass is a Fender Precision which I keep in E standard tuning and I have this Ibanez 5 string set up in A standard purely to play downtuned metal like Korn, Sepultura etc. The eq settings and active pickups give this a great punchy sound. Not sure this bass would suit pop or soft rock but if you play in a loud metal band and want to be heard, this will do the job!I have only owned the bass for a couple of weeks so not sure how it will hold out, but so far so good!
