Perfect for layering from Autumn to Spring, whether you’re hitting the slopes or just need some added warmth from an extra layer during the work week.

I ordered this product for my partner and compared to Ibex, I will wait until Ibex has inventory.Quality is average, and it's not a slim fit style. The size chart suggested I order a medium and I'm so glad I ordered a small. Been wearing these base layers for years! Their thermal characteristics...warm in the winter and warm while wet, but keeps me cool when I wear it in the summer too. I've given up figuring out how these base layers work their magic, regardless the shirts look like they are tailored for me. That alone is pretty hard for me to find in shirts. Very glad they payed mind(attention) to those kind of design details. Will buy again when I need more base layers!

I bought this to replace some cheap Costco merino I'd been using under wool sweaters and flannel shirts in winter. This is much better quality. It is cut long which I like in an undershirt. I'm 5'9" and a slim build at 150 lbs and it fights me well but not tight. For me the only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is the arm openings at the shoulder are a bit deep. I like them snug when I'm layer to encourage moisture wicking and to prevent bunching. But it is a medium so people who are broader in the chest and shoulders might not have that issue. I'm a 36" in suiting, so not exactly "ripped" ; )

Great T-shirt
25 June 2020

This is a lengthy review. I am sharing it because I did not find similar and relevant comments online and I guess many have a similar question. When I discovered merino wool, and the icebreaker as one of the pioneers of merino wool products, I went all in and bought many cool-lite items because I generally run hot and also because I was advised odour-resisting properties of merino is present in cool-lite products even though they only have about 50% merino. This turned out not to be the case. Although cool-lite products are more odour resistant than say cotton or Lyocell, they are nowhere near 100% merino wool products. Suffice it to say I ordered three more (one in medium to use as a base-layer and two in large to use for everyday) and I cannot be happier with my decision. Although they are a tad warm for exceptionally hot summer days, they regulate my temperature really well and truly resist odour. Personally I wore them on three consecutive active days in very hot and humid days of Toronto and the t-shirts were still odour free. It did not feel overly hot either. Highly recommend this.

Great shirt, but quality should be improved!
17 January 2023

I have bought 2 of these shirts (175 base layer). I love the fitting, how it feels and the design. However, a big downside is the build quality.. after 1 year the wool started to wear down, and less than 2 years after wearing its not possible to wear it anymore because of the wear down / holes at some places. This is in my opinion not acceptable if you pay a premium price. My other shirt (200 base layer) is also wearing down fast, so it's not only this reference. Icebreaker team, please do something about the build quality. I am a long time fan of this brand, but have the feeling that quality is going backwards. Hope to see this changed.

One of only three shirts he will wear...
28 January 2023

I bought this for my husband, who is extremely particular about his clothing. He is athletic and lean and most tops are too big for him. He only wears long-sleeved shirts and hates sleeves that hit his hands at a certain point. He says this shirt is "extremely soft and comfortable" and it now shares daily wear status with his go-to Fjallraven Bergtagen thinwool.

Perfect base layer for cold winter days
14 January 2023

Icebreaker's merino shirts are ultra-high quality and long lasting. I've been a fan for several years. The 175 long sleeve crew has the right balance of warmth and light weight. Works well under cotton flannel and heavier wool shirts. Great value for a very reasonable price.

Poor Quality, Low Durability
23 January 2023

I own 13 different Icebreaker items from 260 weight down to the 150 weight. The 175 everyday crewe is my most recent purchase and the only 175 weight I own. The shirt has been gently worn and is only used as an undershirt for everyday use. In my 2nd winter season, the shirt has developed holes - very disappointing. I do not recommended the 175 weight crewe. It does not hold up well. Even the thinner 150 weight shirts which are much older are holding up just fine. This item is too expense for Icebreaker to continue to sell an item of such poor quality. Called customer service. No help.

Second Skin
20 November 2020

Your description pretty much sums it up. Spot on.For those who have never tried merino wool, it's nothing like the old scratchy wool our parents wore. It's the most luxurious fabric to have next to your skin, in cold or warm weather. Another important feature that I haven't heard mentioned is wool'sability to insulate and retain body heat even when wet. This can be a life saving fabric in the event of encountering hypothermia, such as in ocean rescues. In previous years, (and I would expect currently), the US Air Force used wool as their fabric of choice for the base layer of their search and rescue crews.Indeed, they must be able to perform their duties properly, in top condition, in order to assist those in need.Hats off for the truly natural, sustainable, ... MoreYour description pretty much sums it up. Wear it camping, at the office, at the bar.
23 November 2021

It's the perfect layer for literally any situation, and it never smells.Throw it over a t-shirt when you're hiking or biking and it gets a little brisk. It's a perfect light-weight long sleeve at the office where a full sweater is too much, and it doesn't look like technical hiking wear. Treat it as a base layer in the winter time and it'll be the comfiest, warmest base layer you can get.I bought this one because my last one (M, orange) is finally starting to show some wear after literally 1000+ days of use bike touring, camping, ski-touring, around town.A+ would recommend.
