This Icom IC-41Pro UHF transceiver is a well contoured and compact radio I have ever owned. The controls are positive and solid and the sound is second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending this radio fo any type of communication.

this ICOM IC-41 is cost effective, takes a knocking and keeps working. The added benefit of having access to the software to set up discrete channels is also a plus. although heavier than most of the other similar radios I have found it to have a better range than the other radios that we have.

A light weight and small radio with an ergonomic fit in the hand with an impressive 2400 mAh lithium ion battery. Receives well but reports back on audio is soft, have to talk close to the mike.The only constructive criticism is it could have done with side grips built-in to the radio casing to improve grip of the radio in the hand.

Everything you expect from ICOM. The latest model is lighter and still just as strong and does an 12 hour shift no problems. 5 year warranty is an added bonus.
Icom products never fails to impress me. Small and light. Definitely waterproof as I have dropped it into a pool of water, and left it for 1/2 hour as a test! Range is also excellent tested up to 500 m as the crow flies using two Icom handhelds with clear comms.
Have had an IC-40gx for years without fault and required a second handheld. There was no hesitation to buy another Icom, hence the purchase of the IC-41PRO. Quality product, easy to use and rugged for mustering cattle, sheep & goats in the far northern Flinders Ranges.
I've been using CB radios for about 20 years, and have gradually improved the cost and quality of those I used over that time. But now I have a truly excellent radio that makes even the most expensive of my previous devices seem like toys in comparison. Yes, it cost quite a bit for an amateur radio, but I already believe that it was worth it. Call clarity (both transmitting and receiving), range, reception are a step above. Battery life is astounding! Two days of constant use saw less than half the battery drained! At this rate, it would last more than 3 full days before battery anxiety started to intrude. Very happy, recommend it to anyone that needs a decent radio. And it's waterproof, including the mic!
Excellent radio's, great range with crystal clear audio. Had 2 Icom hand held speaker microphones but found them to be sub-standard to the radio, with muffled audio. Went back to using the radio's without the speaker mike.
