I wanted to soundproof the ceiling of what used to be the garage. The tiles are fixed by either spray glue or double sided tape. I started with glue but switched to tape. Both are expensive choices. The tiles are black foam that are compressed when you receive them. There is a bit of a process to expand them by wetting and drying. Very important to dry them so they stick. I’ve done about half the job. The exposed beams I’ve painted black. I’m hoping that all the black makes it disappear to the eye. I call it the night club look. Importantly I’m having fun, it’s something different.
