The k2hd setting is the gem in this unit. I have two gold bars I listen to with my best quality mobile music (and even kept a third gold bar in reserve NRFB) but this unit works about as well by my ears. So this is the portable DAC unit for me. It and the go bar gold are what I use with my shanling ec mini to listen portable to my best DSD/MQA content as well as to stream online. So gold bar if you can get it or this kensei are the best portable DACS by me.

It's great that this iFi Audio GO bar Kensei is as simple as plug-n-play on Windows computers and smartphones. It works wonders in both cases.I have had bad lucks using Pixel 8 Pro Android phone with some other portable DACs such as Hidizs S9 PRO and Fosi Audio DS1. Both of those Hidizs and Fosi share the same problem which would make a very loud noise when just connected it to the Pixel 8 Pro phone and then you try to start playing any audio/video. This noise is loud enough that would damage your hearing. After several times play/stop of the same media for about 10 times, the loud noise would go way and then everything is normal, until you unplug it, and when you plug those Hidizs and Fosi back to Pixel 8 Pro again, the loud noise would come back as well. hisses even with iem match on, unpleasant static pops when sound starts up, some strange muting feature that also makes you miss the beginning of songs and other sounds. all of these issues still exist after updating the firmware. feels like i wasted a lot of money for a terrible product.
