As an audio streaming device, sound quality is excellent. It gets tricky if you have multiple Zen stream to set up and use the phone App. Static IP needs to be allocated and use IP address to access the web interface. The DNS alias created by the setup process does not quite work. The device also runs very warm to the point its a bit concerning... it runs like a Class-A amp, too warm for touch. Wish that there is a user configurable list of stations.I tested the streaming og DSD over PCM DoP feature to a Wadia 121 DAC. The same DoP feature on Zidoo UHD3000 works fine and you have the ability and option to select sampling frequency in PCM. But on Ifi Zen stream you can only select enable DoP and nothing else. This feature doesn't work. I don't get any sound upon playback of DSD tracks.I am running on 2.5Gb/10Gb network and still it takes some time for the tracks to be played. The wait for the digital radio took even longer. I hope this can be improved. Finally, i wish there is a way to either add another SPDIF Coaxial output (or link multiple Zen Stream together) and provide an option to run active digital crossover between the two output. Since the signals are all in digital domain and the CPU has sufficient processing power, providing a functionality similar to the NanoDigi would make a lot of sense, especially when the output is in digital domain. It would dramatically increase the usefulness of this device. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Sounds great. Some small issues , it occasionally disconnects from my device and won't reconnect . I have to turn the zen stream off but it won't turn off . Then I have to pull out tthe power supply lead and then turn it back on. Then it will reconnect.

Sound quality is a vast improvement over my PC via either of my existing DACs so I'm very happy with that aspect using the USB output. I was never happy with the former sound quality. However setup instructions could be way more detailed. I spent quite a few hours wondering why it appeared to be dropping out. All seems well now using free Emby software and ensuring that this music server is running and using the Ifi as the appropriate device. Very good sound quality but bearing in mind the setup caveat it may not suit all potential users..
