In my opinion, most affordable programmable mono synthesizer. Works great via USB (MIDI) with my MacPro/PC and Akai MPC Live II. Easy programming via front panel, and great step/real-time pattern sequencer. Solid mono synthesizer capabilities, but I had to buy audio isolates to eliminate USB ground interference.

I love this synth. The real time automation of any parameter is such a big plus for me. Sounds big with a great filter. Only complaints is that it's easy to accidentally switch patches when designing a sound, erasing what you were creating. Battery life is pretty bad but I always have my laptop handy for bus power.

Good present for someone who's never had a synth, will be easy to figure out. But it is satisfying, is a real synth, not a toy, despite the small size and low weight. Note: eats batteries, uses 4 AA. So I recommend you also buy 8 AA batteries and a charger with it. That way one set can be charging while you use the other set.

I have had a lot of analog synthesizers in my short-term of making synthesizer music I've been making keyboard synthesizer music since 1999. I have played a lot of analog synthesizers and I have owned quite a few analog synthesizers but to have one this powerful under $200 is amazing. so many different features so many different functions portability and at this price is incredible. I am not disappointed in this little baby and I will be making a lot of music in the years to come with this little powerful machine. This is grateful people who are new to synthesizes and for old heads like me. This is one to own you cannot pass this up for the price it doesn't matter if you have a few synthesizers laying around already like me at this price how can you go wrong? The perfect beginner analog synthesizer. The “buttons” are not wonderful for performance, but if you’re accident-prone like me than it’s reassuring they won’t break. The build quality is overall light and cheap-ish — but inside this thing is a wonderland of straightforward yet expansive true analog synthesis. It took me seconds of tweaking to find inspiration. I bought this as a companion to my Uno Drum, and they absolutely belong together. The performance buttons do a lot to change things up momentarily in some sonically pleasing ways. If you at just beginning, this is a great place to start.
I absolutely love this synth. While it is a little difficult to figure out how to get it setup inside of a DAW, it is perfect for those just getting into analog sound design. I've been doing music for almost 7 years now and I 100% recommend this synth. I kind of wish that the synth would've come with more physical buttons, but the touch pads are smooth and accesible nonetheless. That is more of a preference than an objective critique. Creating sounds no matter how limited is always fun on hardware. Especially if you've been doing sound design strictly through plug-ins for a while. Its a nice change up and I will be using it for a long time. My one problem with it is that it is a little bit difficult to get the audio to go through a DAW but that is to be expected ... MoreI absolutely love this synth. Amazing little mono synth. Super good value for money. Capacative touch holds up well for arps but for a proper arrangement you will need a midi keyboard. Gives great leads, bass, arps and lovely LFO. Build quality is good for a synth this small and portable. If you are going to use batteries. Get some really good rechargeable ones. Sound editor and all the software from IK is *chefs kiss*. If you want to get into hardware, this a great affordable way to do it!
My first purchase from Sam Ash with the IK Multimedia Uno. Fast shipment and product arrived in great condition. I am really impressed with this lightweight monosynth. The 2-pole filter has an almost SEM-like vibe to it, very capable of producing nice bass, rhythm, and lead tracks. The high pass filter has some excellent sweet spots. The layout of the synth is very easy to understand quickly if you have any experience with subtractive synthesis. It does not require a big hefty wall adapter. The presets are good starting points. What is sorta amazing is that you get a sequencer and arp with it too. I highly recommend the Uno for your first analog monosynth, or if you are looking for a synth to compliment your Moog ladder filter synths.
