I saw this lamp whilst walking round the show room. I love it. It's gives a lovely cosy feel to the room. I bought the recommended bulbs to go with it and they are perfect. I've had people compliment the light, saying how they liked it too. I put this together on my own and didn't have a spanner for the nut part but managed to tighten with my hand and so far, it's still standing tall. I'll borrow a spanner at some point to tighten it up.

Good value- nice for how little it costs. Wood legs are nice touch - doesn’t look as cheap as some other ikea options. Only reason not 5 star is color of the fabric shade. It’s a very stark shade of white. Would be much nicer if a warmer tone. Fortunately we located the lamp in a corner and our walls walls are painted a golden cream color so the lamp shade appears warmer at night but still starkly white during the day.

This light looks a lot more expensive than £35. Once built, it's incredibly sturdy and the quality by far exceeds my expectations. The fabric cover is elasticated and fits very tautly between the top and base. Sylish and timeless.

When assembling the lamp we had a lot of trouble getting the wires with the bulb slots to attach to the frame. The cables that connect the bulb slots to each other are too short and cannot properly reach the spots on the frame where they are supposed to be inserted. With a little force, we got the top one to fit but not in the way it was supposed to. They are supposed to alternate positions on the frame to diffuse the light better but right now the lights are all on one side of the frame. We are going to call and try to get a new part. It looks good now but would look a lot better the way it is supposed to.
Love the simplicity of this lamp. Was just as I expected. I own other ikea lamps which I have had for at least 30 years, with a paper shade which are great and natural, but I really love this one as it has a light fabric to it which steps up the material quality of it. I ma not sure if this was part of the product description or not (I might have overlooked it) but it would be helpful to include it as part of the description on the website. It would also be nice to have additional wood stains or colours for the legs to match the room decor.
Love the appearance of this lamp, and assembly was super quick! However, like the other 1 star reviewer, the top metal ring (which is supposed to be under tension from the fabric cover) had all 3 metal spokes snap as I was putting the fabric cover on. I didn't have any issue with the other (same) lamp I bought (which that top piece felt it had a sturdied connection between the metal spokes & base ring), so I'm putting it up to some inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. Will be returning to the store for a replacement, but rather frustrating to build something only to find a defect at the last step, and having to disassemble & drive back to IKEA to return it (a 2hr round trip for me).
It's a really nice lamp. It looks attractive and is hopefully a lot more robust than the previous versions with paper lampshades. However, don't think this will be like Ikea of old where there's an allen key in the box and that's all you need to assemble it. No, you need an adjustable spanner (or, I think, a 19mm one) and a decent-sized Pozi screwdriver. Trying to assemble it required a trip to Screwfix to buy the required tools, making it rather more expensive than it first appeared. (At home would have been fun, but not in a student hall of residence with minimal tools)
One small thing really ruins this lamp, which is super frustrating because it’s a nice looking lamp, and not cheap! I wish I could post a pic to show the issue but Ikea doesn’t seem to allow photos. There’s a round metal ring that the fabric gets stretched over down to the base. The fabric must be tightly stretched, so pulling is necessary. There are metal “spokes” that are cheaply fused to the ring, so as you’re pulling down, they snap off and the lamp is ruined, lopsided, or if all break, the fabric falls down completely. The first time I thought I got a lemon, but I returned it and it happened with the replacement too. Ikea knows how to do it better because I also have an Arstid lamp (only $30!) that has a similar spoke design and those spokes are tightly ... I really want a solution for this lamp as it’s perfect for my play room.
Easy to put together, but my main problem is how sheer the shade is. You can easily see the individual bulbs through it, which is not a good look. Also, what's up with the E12 bulb sockets?? So annoying and random. I bought the tradfri color temp adjustable lights not knowing it required a $70 hub, absolutely ridiculous, until I got home.
Saw this lamp on TikTok and had to buy. Loved it so much I went back the next day and purchased a second one. Very easy to assemble. Took me less than 10 minutes. Gives off a soft, warm light. Perfect for living room or bedroom.
