This product is not as shown, even the videos shown are not the most helpful. The structure and all is great, no opinion on that, but the shade is the biggest disaster. It's like, somebody woke up in morning and decided to make the absolute worst Shade design that an average person would rather just get a better lampshade. It doesn't unroll, it opens up randomly, it is not stable, Even fan air shakes it a lot. Not the best choice. The only thing I would had done was bought this and put a different shade on top of this.

I know many of you are facing issue fixing the lamp shade, it folds too much. After you follow instructions in the manual, when you go for locking them together, make sure the stickers are from the outside. That means, lock them from outside, rough side of sheet should be outside. It will give the shade a counter fold and the lamp shade looks round, which is what we expected. Thank me later 👍

I recently bought 2 of the smaller table versions of this lamp. The shades were a challenge to put together, but I managed to get them looking nice enough.I figured I’d grab the matching floor lamp the other day. There was no floor display (I wonder why, lol) but I thought for sure there would be some kind of metal rings to help keep the shape of the shade. Wrong…You guys, this is the jankiest looking thing…It looks like someone sat on it. I even spent some time back-rolling the shade on the kitchen island, feeling like I was making some kind of terrible lampshade pasta while regretting my decision to purchase this lamp. The ghosts of thousands of Italian grandmas wept because of this terrible lampshade.Now I have to decide if I want to try and shape the shade ... This unit has been a fantastic addition to our room. We also got the table lamps to match. The expectation is a real caveat for this unit. The design and look is clean, minimal, and fits into any room. The unit is rather light and probably damages easily but that is clearly reflected in price. I recommend getting Barlast with the light bulb as it's not only a better deal but it's easier to find these light bulbs at IKEA.
The lamp's packaging was small enough to fit in a bag and made it extremely easy to pick up and transport. I commuted downtown by Go bus and was able to buy two lamps with ease!The lamp itself is sturdy, yet light enough to be of great value (especially for its price), but I had some trouble assembling the lamp shade based on the instruction manual. IKEA usually has very clear and pictorial instructions, but it took me quite a few tries to assemble the lamp shade! I was able to figure it out eventually, which made it a "little" easier to to put together for my second lamp. I would have given this a higher rating if it weren't for that. But, for $12, you can't lose with this purchase. It's also great for reading.
So first of all: the lampshade. Not sure what's happening here but it's literally a flimsy piece of papery sheet that you link together like a paper lantern, and it pops open immediately. But even when it's together it doesn't form a proper lampshade shape. It looks horrible. Not like a lamp at all. Secondly, the stand itself is wonky even though it's fitted together properly. I know it's only £8, but on principle it's going back. I don't see how IKEA can sell it with a straight face.

This takes a 13W LED bulb, which is equivalent to a 75W regular incandescent bulb. Ikea, I would LOVE if you put this on the packaging. I got a little tripped up by it.2. As a crafter the shade was a fun challenge. Make sure to man-handle that sucker. Don't be afraid to show it who's boss. Roll it up tightly in the opposite direction and just hold it for a few minutes. After that, unroll it, then roll it back up in the SAME direction but from the OPPOSITE end. This flattens both ends. I got 2 of these and the matching table lamps. So far so good! *You can do an Arts & Crafts design with it also. . . USE your imagination. * The lampshade comes flat for tracing onto Any paper or fabric. With a double-sided tape you can apply it to match ANY ROOM IN YOUR HOME! * Get an extra pillow case and match it to your bedding or Curtains. * Put your kids' favorite characters on it. Lighten the mood or darken it up & go Goth. The sky is the limit with this shade. There so cheap Im getting more when I go back before they sell out again. It took almost a year to get them back in stock last time.
The Shade is a plastic like material that has little slots that link together. The bad news is that the slots when connected do not tighten up to form a perfect round shade. It looks like it is collapsed and almost touches the bulb. Terrible design. Other lamps have shades that velcro on the top and bottom and are much better.

The switch located in a perfect place which means it can be used for many purposes, even as a bed side lamp.It is quite sturdy and assembly was straightforward, you need to follow the instructions well to assemble the shade, which means it need to be inverted and rolled in the opposite direction (don’t squeeze it as shown in the picture on how to assemble, as it will leave unsightly marks on the shade)It looks so cute and far more expensive than the actual price.It comes in a tiny package, you’d never expect a lamp shade to be on the inside….one of the enjoyable purchases in current ...
