Well crafted, good quality wood and finishing. A great size. Large enough for a giant turkey. Needs an additional border groove to collect liquids on the only side that doesn’t have one. Good value price wise.

I have been purchasing this item for the last 16 years. They save the counter from the random knife scratches. Unfortunately, the mineral oil necessary to preserve the board has not been available?It might help if that item was located next to this item. We were sent on a goose chase by different employees who couldn't locate the item either. :(

I bought one many years ago, and it sits on our counter permanently. We use it so many times a day I can’t count. It lasted a long time, but it was time to replace it, and I’m super happy they still have the same one, as it’s the perfect size to sit between our sink and stove. It’s a cutting board and a spot for hot pots and pans. I might be using it upside down, but the lip overhangs my counter and keeps it in place a bit. Plus I lay a tea towel underneath to keep it from sliding around. Love it and would def recommend.

I bought this for rolling out dough. I flip it over so the lip of the board is against the counter and prevents the board from moving. Perfect to add more workspace in my small kitchen as I can use it over top of my sink. This is a great board and perfect for working with pie dough, cookie dough or anything else.
I have purchased this board multiple times in the past 10 years. The first 3 I bought are still in use in the homes where they were purchased for (twice as gifts, once in my other home). The most recent one we purchased for my new apartment started warping immediately. It makes me quite sad, as I was a champion for this board for many years, I am now forced to apologize to friends who have purchased it on my recommendation. Please, Ikea, if you are reading this, PLEASE go back to the old design/materials/manufacturer. This board used to put Boos blocks to SHAME, and now it is just another cheap bamboo board. Don't succumb to pressure, please maintain the high quality we have come to expect from Ikea products.

My family gets together for a lefse making party and we use these to roll out our lefse on! The lip on the one end is great for rolling any kind of dough, as it stabilizes it. Also, with the three layers of wood/bamboo they alternated the direction of the grain, which keeps the board from warping! A vast improvement on their earlier design. The only negative was that it had doubled in price since the last time I bought one.
I havre gotten many compliments. It’s so practical. I was looking for a cutting board that is big enough and they were all very expensive. I’m so glad this one is so affordable yet very practical. I place it on my kitchen island which it was perfect for. I’m getting a second one just in case
The small (angled) part can brake off if you have it sustain pressure. if you're thinking about placing it on an surface upside down (with the embossed side facing downward) know that you'll eventually see scratches/small detachments.Likely no way around the above mentioned. It's either part of the design or the wood isn't durable enough.
Creativity is synonymous with IKEA, am I right?! Right! Though the liquid-well is on the intended-use side, this great cutting board is more beneficial to me upside down - allowing the raised edge to hook against side of the countertop, so it stays put as I use it! (Psst - check out the price, but don’t tell IKEA they could sell it for WAY more, tho!)
