Firstly, we love Ikea and have spent thousands of $ over the years in store. However, this is the second of these faucets I've had in around 6 years. The first sprung a leak on the underside and I returned it, with difficulty for a replacement after around 3 years. Now the second has sprung a leak in the same place. I get that it's cheap, but why offer a 10 year warranty if they're not gonna last anywhere near that? And can't return for a replacement as last time the receipt was faded and they said thay wouldn't replace it again if it failed.

Faucet leaks internally do not buy it

I bought this faucet for a basement. It’s been installed for a few months, but was never used. I had guests and went to put something into the cabinet to discover water seeping through the upper hole of the granite and inside cabinet when the supply lines were open. The plumber came and we discovered that the internal mechanism of the faucet is bad and cabinet is damaged because you can’t see a leak until it’s too late and covered in mold. Thanks IKEA. Pure junk.

My old faucet was leaking too much and costing me money. I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in a new one since I’m remodeling. This was perfect. Stylish. Useful. Doesn’t leak! I may move it to my laundry room when I’m done. Definitely keeping it.

Horrible

Purchased 6 for rental properties. 4 of them constantly come loose and undone to the point it'll come off completely. Used less than a year. Have one more expensive ikea kitchen faucet that still comes undone as well. Maybe it's just all ikea kitchen faucets. You get what you pay for.

Leaked after 3 months
28 August 2017

Cheap tap that leaked after 3 months of infrequent use. The reason I rated 1 star is that this tap is unfixable once leaking. i.e. it doesn't have a cartridge or o-ring that is replaceable (something that ISN'T noted in the product fact sheet). Therefore you need to replace the entire unit - frustrating and time consuming.

Leaking after less than 4 years of service
5 March 2023

Leaking from the base after less than 4 years of sporadic use (garden house). Good thing is that it’s covered by a 10 year warranty so returning it. To be honest any tap below the £80 mark would last about the same time hence the 3 stars.

Leaks within 2-4 months
5 August 2019

I bought one of these LAGAN faucets and after 3-4 months it started to leak. It slightly damaged my Ikea Karlby countertop, but not too much. I replaced with the exact same model as I could exchange for free and thought the first one was a fluke. Big mistake. The second LAGAN I got lasted only 2-3 months before it started leaking all over the counter. I use this on a rental, so the tenant didn't alert me until after about 3-5 days after the it started to leak. Too late now. My Karlby counter top is ruined, stained, and has starting to swell up since it's particleboard. Now I need to replace both the counter top and the faucet (and stop renting it while I replace it, so money lost there too). Makes me doubt about getting anything plumbing-related from ikea again. I would stay clear of this item, I hope Ikea discontinues it to avoid other customers having to go through this. By the way, the first one was installed by a plumber, and the second one by us. So unlikely it's user error in installation when 2 different people installed the same model -- including a professional plumber.

Nice tap for EU fixtures
27 February 2019

Pleased with tap in general. Problem for UK: As you might know UK has different pipe endings from every other country in Europe. This tap is made to attach to EU standards but not UK. To attach to a UK tap you will have to find a specific piece to attach between tap and pipe. I did eventually attach it, but I do have some know-how. I don't believe anyone with no experience can attach it.

Sleek tap!

I was looking for a tap for a small sink on island unit - a tall tap would have looked out of proportion so was delighted when I saw this one.Looks sleek and works well, so very pleased!

deceptive practices at IKEA

The cheapest tape I could find was $39.00 until I found this one so I bought it What they do not tell you or show you in their pictures is the connection to the house. on most tapes it is a male connector on this one it is a female connector so I had to buy new steel braded hoses with the proper concoctor for this tape they cost me $13.00 . making my total cost $39.00 the price of the tape for other suppliers So if you are looking for a cheap tape and are attracted buy the price beware the extra parts you will have to buy to make this work will eat up any saving you might think you have The pictures do not show the connectors that is on the tape to your house plumbing ,deceptive of them .just one person experience put the tape in a house built in the 1970 s
