I just got my third lamp; I loved the first two so much that I bought one to replace the overly large one in my bedroom. As with the other two, assembly was a breeze (much improved IKEA, thank you!) and took a minute to determine the light height, a smart bulb, and done. Looks fantastic and compliments my furniture. Price is right and fast delivery.

Awesome design, easy to assemble, looks great. Nice switch. Two small manufacturing issues that I found annoying: 1) The pilot hole for the stopper screw that prevents the lamp from being raised too high is slightly too small. Since the shaft is hardwood this caused it to splinter a little bit around the hole when I put the screw in. Be careful. 2) The UL/CSA or whatever labels use a terrible adhesive that leaves residue on the braided cable. If you don't clean it off (which is annoying) the residue will collect lint, dust, hair, etc which looks bad. Since these labels are required by the government, it would be better to use an elastic or string to attach them but failing that a higher quality adhesive would be nice.

I'm so pleased with the look and high quality of these lamps. I can't believe how low the price is for what you're getting. These lamps are a great buy that look great in my living room. The height is adjustable. I love the notches that hide the power chords. The natural wood look is beautiful and sturdy! The lamps were easy to put together.

I am impressed with the style of this lamp. It has a look that is perfect for my living room. I found it easy to assemble. I was intimidated by the shade requiring assembly but it's quite simple! It snaps into place and secures with velcro at the seam. One thing worth mentioning is that the wood splinters a little. I hope that doesn't deter anyone from purchasing, just use a little caution when assembling so you don't get a splinter. The shade is a soft white, not a bright white.
While the lamp looked good on display, once we got home and assembled it the stand broke after a few months. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, it does not hold the height you want since the nuts and the screwing mechanisms is not of good quality unlike other IKEA products.I am very disappointed with this - there is no way to purchase the spare parts to fix the lamp.
I want to buy this lamp to replace one like it that I bought years ago. The lamp I bought had a post beneath the bulb which rotated to adjust brightness. I don’t see in the product description that this lamp is dimmable. However it is recommended to buy a dimmable bulb. Does this lamp have a dimmable function? If not, do you have a dimmable floor lamp in tripod dark wood?
Good amount of light both upward towards the ceiling and downward. I like that you can raise and lower the lamp height because I bought this to illuminate the room and some artwork on the wall. Other lamps were the wrong height and got in front of the artwork. Nice soft light. The lampshade is creamy white and with a warm spectrum bulb appears off white when on. The fabric of the shade feels and looks high quality. I had bought another floor lamp on Amazon that looked too cheap so I sent it back and got this. Wood seems sturdy, solid hard wood. Easily stainable or paintable. Cord is a fabric covered cord and seems high quality as well. On/off switch is near the bulb. Only way to make it better is to put a three way switch and bulb in this.
Easy to put together and looks very stylish. Bought the natural colour but it could be stained if I want to change the look at a later date. Only issue was that the shade had a slight dent in it but it is not really noticeable when in use. As I live 3 hours drive from the IKEA Store, it is too much hassle to return it but maybe IKEA can review how they pack these shades. Like the fact that the switch is just under the shade as at my age I don’t want to bend down to turn it on and off.
I ordered this for my living room- I have a lot of side table lamps but wanted a taller floor lamp so I have more variation in height.It was very quick and easy to put together, and everything feels solid and sturdy and will last a long time (I’m a fan of IKEAs solid wood products).I loved how this looked so much that I’ve immediately put in an order for another one to go in my bedroom.The lampshade is very simple and neutral and I think would suit a lot of styles- but easily swapped out with another shade in the future if you prefer.Like all my lamps I’ve used a hue dimmable smart lightbulb so I’m not physically switching this lamp on or off.This is a really great lamp!!
We were hesitant to purchase this floor lamp based on some other reviews, but, after measuring and viewing in store two times, we opted to try. Are we happy we did! The color is perfect in our room. The height and size of the base fit perfectly behind the curve of a sectional. Since this is a room corner, the brightness exceeds our expectations by reflecting to provide light in most of the room. I find myself looking over saying, “I love this lamp!” more times than I care to admit. The bonus really is the packaging and simplicity of the lamp. We did not encounter any issues with the shade or parts and found it easy to put together (my 13 year old daughter did most of it). Thank you for this fantastic product!
