I recently had my SKORVA beam finally break after 6 years of use, so went in to buy a replacement and saw the LONSET slats online, and thought to replace my old LURÖY ones. Yes, they’re a bit fiddly to fit due to slotting each slat through the material and into the rubber housings, but it helped for a bit of mindfulness!Anyway, I’d been experiencing quite severe lower back pain recently, to the point where I couldn’t walk far at all and sometimes it hurt to breathe in too deeply! I was waking each time I moved or turned in bed and was generally fed up. I’ve just had one night on these slats and my back pain has literally disappeared. Gone. I can walk, turn, breathe, without pain! What an amazing improvement in slat technology just by adding extra flexibility ... We had to get a LONSET since the store was out of LUROY when we bought our queen bed (HESSUN). Though the price was higher, we had hoped the quality was higher as well. Assembly was straightforward, and they're easy to move and install once assembled. We used it for just over 2 years and found that some of the rubber supports had collapsed in the middle, leaving it poorly supported right where all the weight is. Keep in mind I'm only 110 lbs (50 kg) and my husband is less than 180 lbs (80 kg), with no kids to otherwise abuse the bed. I'm pretty disappointed with the longevity of this product.

Really not sure what the handful of negative reviews here are going on about. It took less than an hour to assemble each half of the queen set -- tedious, yes, but not exceptional by IKEA standards. It fit perfectly in an Idanas frame. The support is outstanding. But the main thing for me is that the standard Ikea slats -- e.g. the Luroy -- have wood-on-wood interfaces between the slats and the bedframe that tend to squeak. You'll see lots of advice on the web about using parafin wax on those interfaces to keep the noise down. With this set, there's no place where wood is moving against wood -- as the wood slats bend under your shifting weight, they are pushing on the rubber holders. Purchased the Lonset slats as I’d read they were better than the slats we had previously purchased with our last bed (Luroy). Pricier but assumed it meant they were easier to put together.How could I have been so wrong. These should come with a warning. I have never experienced a DIY job like it. The bed frame was up within an hour, the slats took 4 hours, or what felt like 4 days - I started on the 22/12 and was sure I’d still be on with these on Christmas morning and would miss seeing my kids open their gifts.What an absolute nightmare of a product, they may be better slats in the long term but If you can afford to get these put together by Ikea, do it.
These slats are incredible and greatly improved my sleeping even with my old mattress. Felt a huge improvement in my neck and back pain after just one night. Full size fits my Malm double bed frame perfectly. If you are buying larger than a twin, be sure to get all the boxes that come with your order. Full size is two boxes. My Malm had the old board slats so I removed the anchors and the new slat frames laid down perfectly in the bed, no sliding. When assembling, I recommend attaching the three bar pieces to one side first, then put the slats in the ribbon. The slats are color coded so match the colors to the rubber pieces. After filling the ribbon, attach slats to one side, then the other. As you add the second side, tighten screws as you add slats. When finished, ... Putting this together was a team effort, you need at least 2 people, one with a lot of upper body strength. We built the entire king size frame and realized we were missing one slat. We went all the way back to our store to get the missing slat and they refused to give us one because there are no part numbers associated to bed slat kits. Had to go online and have Ikea send me an entire new frame just so I can get the single slat we were missing in the first place. Had to throw out the entire second one. Now that it is fully assembled it is very comfortable and quiet, we love our bed.
Everything went together ok, no issues there however disregard the instructions and use common sense, meaning don’t tighten the frame all the way. Leave one side with just the bolts barely engaged, install all the slats and then tighten it down, thank me later. Only thing is I’m unsure if I made the right choice on slats. I thought it was more supportive in hip and shoulder area (which would make more sense to me since that’s where your body weight is) but now I read those are softer zones. I’m on a new mattress and frame and I’m going back and forth whether I feel like I’m sinking too much in my hip areas as a back sleeper. Is the luroy actually the more firm/supportive base? A shade over an hour start to finish! I liked the final results, it fits my objectives at the time of buying.Its very solid, doesn't makes any sounds, protects the wall and has 4 good storage compartments.The White one combines very well with the MALM white fornitures.The downsides are that it gets very hard to assemble as it has a lot of pieces, and needs an electric screwdriver.This makes it not so advisable for people who have to move frequently or would like to have smooth movings.
We've had the Malm bedframe, with storage underneath, and the Lonset bed base for 8 months now. It took a long time to put the bed base together, but it wasn't difficult.However, the bed base squeaks horribly! We took the mattress off and tightened everything about a month ago and it didn't help. From what I've read online it has something to do with the bed base rubbing against the metal rails that it sits on, so I'm going to try putting something in between. It's getting to the point where it wakes us up at night anytime either of us move, and I'm not sure what else to do.
