Nice lights and reasonably priced, though it's not intuitive as to which additional parts are needed. These parts are sold individually. In my case for example, I found out that in addition to the driver, remote control (optional) and a power cord, that I also need a connection cord to connect the lights to the driver. Unfortunately, there was no one in the lighting department to help and there was no instructional signage to guide me as to which parts were needed. Quite frustrating when you find this out later that your missing a part. I suggest looking in advance at the installation manuals on the IKEA website (under Product Details) to figure out your particular set up.

Each unique run of fixture to driver needs a Vagdal cord and they have been mostly out-of-stock for the last 3 months. People sell the vagdal cable on eBay for 2x the price. Check ikea has these vagdal cords first before buying. I can believe they allow you to checkout without doing a system check that you have everything you need to complete an under lighting system.

We really like the modular system with the different lengths which can be joined together. Installation was very strait forward (you have to press quite hard to get them to snap into place - feels quite secure). The brightness range when using the Tradfri dimmer is just right for an under-cabinet light in the kitchen. I do wish they would offer some different lengths of Ansluta and Vagdal cords though (we have a lot of excess coiled up).

Great lights with easy installation. Make sure you plan well. You'll need a cord any time there's an interruption in the connected lights, including corners. You'll need a controller if there's a break in the upper cabinets also. Don't forget to grab a wireless switch also.
I've assembled them. I bought everything that the product says you need - the TRADFRI driver and VAGDAL connection cord. But there's no way of connecting the light strips to the driver. In the online instruction video, they appear to magically light up - there's no information about how to power them. Returned.
We designed our dream kitchen with the help of your Kitchen Planners. We have Mittled lighting under all the cabinets including the corner cabinets. I have been trying to solve the problem of the lights not curving around the corner cabinets. I read a review below with the same issue and now I have to purchase 2 more Vagdal 137" 3/4" cords to complete the project. This should have been noted/included in the Kitchen design. Would have saved me a lot of time trying to figure out what I did wrong. $8,000 worth of kitchen items and I can't finish the installation because of $20.
This light was EXTREMELY difficult to install. It was a replacement because the original that was only 5 years old stopped working. Because of the way it is made with the plug on one end it took the better part of our day to replace it. We ended up having to unscrew and remove the dishwasher in order to tie a string onto one end and pull it through. We certainly hope we don't have to replace another one EVER!

The height is important to me because I am trying to figure out how to hide these under cabinet lights. To 100% hide them, I was thinking of mounting the bottom of the cabinet a little more than 1/2 inch up from the bottom of the walls of the cabinet. Then I would panel the front portion of the underside of the cabinet with an IKEA panel (½ inch thick) and place the lights on the back portion of the underside so that they would be hidden behind the panel. Excellent system. Note that the connecting cable (vagdal) is NOT included with the single fixtures. Also, this fixture is not compatible with the SILVERRGLANS driver! Stick with the TRADFRI parts. Returned 3 times b/c of incorrect advice from a sales person.
When you go to Ikea in person to avoid paying delivery, you expect it to be worth your time as you have to go through the whole space to find this one thing you need. Well, with this it turns out it's not ''one thing'' but several, because a total of 3!!! parts are sold separately. I thought I found something affordable that would solve my problem, but I would much rather order Phillips HUE leds and also get colours out of that. Now I have to go back and return this...
