There is an irreversible fault with this product in that if the bolts are inserted into the chair first then you cannot get them back out again. Really poorly explained instructions and diagram. Should be a reversible bolt. Nice seat but had to return mine to store due to this problem.

My only complaint about the chair is when you try to install the upper portion of the rods to install the back rest portion. Really stiff to twist in and i cant seem to get the rods to slide all the way in. Even tried using a rench to help tighten. There a hand thickness gap between upper chair portion. Another reviewer mentioned this to. Im going try again and keep the chair. You think the tool that came with it could be also use to help with the rods...though chair still feels solid. Im not sure if it because the upper portion hit its limit or lower portion twisted a the way in and free spins the plastic insert. I dont have a car to return the product to swap it out and had paid for shipping. Maybe if there was a click nose to indicate it all the way in.

My husband’s new armchair. He loves the high back and how the chair envelopes you. He has fashioned arm covers ( from an old IKEA chair cover), to keep arms protected and clean. Looks great in our smallish office.

After reading some complaints about a gap between the upper back and the chair, I paid special attention when tightening the rods before inserting. I'm not exceptionally strong but I'm no delicate flower either. I haven't encountered a jar lid that has defeated me so I assumed I could tighten these rods far enough by hand. Poor assumption. This left about 14.5 cm exposed. Upon inserting the back, I saw "the gap" that some reviewers have observed. After using pliers to tighten the rods even further, I got them to about 13.7 cm. There was "still" a small gap on one side but after a few frustrated fist poundings the back seated nicely. The rest of the assembly went smoothly! These chairs are replacing two much older IKEA chairs. The fabric was disintegrating after many years of use.Our old chairs were very comfortable and sturdy but expensive to recover. Have tried donating them to several thrift stores but have been rejected because of the fabric.It would be nice if you recycled chairs and/or sold slipcovers for your older products.We have not had the new ones long enough to know how they will do. Our sense is they will not last nearly as long, but willing to be surprised about that.The in store pick up procedure could be improved!No clear direction once you get there.
We bought two of these chairs to provide comfortable seating in our kitchen/dayroom. I broke my back about a year ago and it is still giving me pain, so I wanted a chair that was comfortable and gave me back support. These chairs more than filled the bill and they are handsome. We are so happy with the chairs that we now spend more time sitting in them rather than sitting in our formal Sitting Room! The chairs are also a good, economical price - and simple to put together - don't believe the whining reviews claiming that they 'don't fit together properly', the go together in 15mins.
This chair is super comfy, snuggled up in a blanket, reading a book on a rainy day. Equally it’s just as easy to work from home, juggling a laptop and coffee in extreme comfort. Not a day goes by in our home without this chair getting used. It might have a hefty price tag, but it was so easy to put together and I haven’t regretted its purchase once. Ok, maybe just when I was trying to get the boxes in the car. Very large!!
The chair is attractive and comfortable. Unfortunately it won't last long. I had it delivered and professionally assembled by Ikea. The back will not tighten properly. The top porton of the back of the chair seems loose and poorly designed.. I'm afraid it will just break off while I'm sitting in it. I've had such an awful time with Ikea regarding this piece and a sofa purchased at the same time. Their customer service is awful. Not sure where they are but they speak to the customer like they were the enemy. I'm keeping the chair because I just can't deal with Ikea any more. I've given the chair to my 11 pound dog. She now owns her new expensive dog bed. Nothing else I can do with it. At some point I'll just toss it to revent an accident. What an awful experience.
I bought this chair in early October and I had to return and exchange it four times. Finally my wife and I just decided to give up and just keep the chair but the back head rest that you have to assemble never secured itself properly and is always loose. Still a good comfortable chair just poor workmanship.
Myself and my partner are both fairly large people and this chair is still super comfortable. The back is high which is very supportive, the sides feel great, not too snug, just perfect. Would 100% recommend. Great reading chair!!
