Purchased two of these for the Hemnes day bed we have. Previously we used a mattress we already had. Checked what mattress was listed on the hemnes bundle and purchased 2.But the mattress is too wide for the frame.When set as a single the front isn't flush to the frame. And when we try to pull the bed out to the larger size andnuse two mattresses there's a huge overhang and it's impossible to sleep on in that set up. I dont know if the dimensions of the bed have been changed so this mattress fits nicely on newer ones but I'm now left with what was a costly bed and no mattresses that fit it so it can be used as more than a single bed.Also have 2 mattresses that don't fit as they should.

This mattress has a very plain construction, just a piece of foam, wrapped in thin cloth. I wanted to replace a Malvik mattress (14cm) but that wasn't available, not even the very similar Malfors (12cm), both of which have a padded layer on top which adds a great deal more comfort.Maybe it's related to the material choice, Malfors has cotton blend while this is 100% polyester.Since only one side of the cover is usable, you can't flip the mattress. Previously you could flip and rotate it to extend its life.I'm really disappointed in this Asvang mattress being all that is available. Malfors is the same price and far better. What would be nice is a return of Malvik too.

We looked everywhere to find a mattress to fit our fold out bed. The lounge is 20 years old, and this mattress was a perfect fit. The improvement to the sleep experience using the ASVANG is remarkable.Thanks IKEA!

Not as comfy as the earlier version. Slides, and sinks easily. The earlier version way better then this one. Please review this product well. It’s not as worthy as its predecessor.
I’m not usually fussy about mattresses but this was terrible. Bought it to go with a daybed for the guest room but I wouldn’t want to subject anyone to having to sleep on this. Extremely hard, unsupportive and you can feel the wooden slats of the bed as soon as you lay down. Better options around at this price point.
Love this mattress! Very light and with two side handles, very easy to lift and carry around. It's very comfortable. Perfect for sleepovers, visitor's bed and even camping!
Worst mattress ever. I have 2 old version mattress at the same price, they are amazing. But this one is a rubbish, sink, not supportive, hot. My back feel awful when I get up. Since the founder died, someone is ruining this company.
Bought two of these for my Hemnes Daybed and slept on them while my partner was isolating due to COVID. Found them way too hard… kept waking up with a sore back when sleeping on my back and sore hips when sleeping on my side. I’m going to return them and buy the more expensive foam mattresses.On the flip side though my son has a trundle bed and his friend who stayed over said he got a great night’s sleep. So maybe they’re ok for kids? Not sure.
Only had this for a year. Comfortable at first and now it collapses and destroys my back with regular monotony. This is with an added memory foam topper. Never had this issue with my previous IKEA foam mattress which I had for several years. Don't bother buying it.
we brought 2 of these to go with the hemnes day bed, guess we should have gone to store and looked at them, ill save you the bother, there awfull. pointy foam feels like a really old lumpy mattress. will have to buy a couple of memory foam toppers and flip the foam so the flat side is up in the mattress zip case.
