I have been waiting patiently for this hardshell case from Incase to drop ever since the Macbook Pro 14' came out and l have to say, this case does not disappoint! Yes, while the two pieces of hardshell may feel plastic, the textured dot design complements the overall look of the case not to mention functionality and protection. Overall, the case snaps on smoothly, has rubber feet at the bottom, and doesn't make the laptop any bulkier. This case offers adequate protection all around. Lastly, why would you get a cheap laptop case for your $2K laptop? I know I would get the brand I trust. And that is Incase.

I purchased the case because Incase is a renown brand and I trusted the quality. I do not know what changed, but I got the blue one of these and it has only been 5 months but the case is in shambles. I'm not a rough user either and all the corners have already cracked. I always make sure that I don't bump my computer into anything harsh, and it's already looking a mess. Even worse, these sharp bits fall out and fall on the ground and I stepped on them by mistake... Overall, a hazard. A much cheaper option on Amazon has done me so much better.

Have had this case for about a year and it's really nice -- great fit, nice texture (yes, the dots are on the inside, but the outside is not glossy smooth). The one thing buyers should be aware of is that if you use Anker's dual USB-C hub (likely the same for HyperDrive's dual USB-C hub), you'll have to remove the bottom piece of the case to use the hub, Of course wouldn't be a issue with hubs that have a wire pigtail, but I wish incase would enlarge the size of the cut out. Thinking about enlarging the cut out myself with a Dremel or similar tool and some sandpaper.
