A little expensive but I use it often

Use it for a lot of my projects. From POVs to different angles. It’s a good little camera. The syncing process is easy to understand and use. What I don’t like is the you NEED the app to make the camera work for the first time. You cannot just pop and use it.There is limited space and you cannot add another memory card. Need good cable to sync to computer or hard drive. It overheats fast depending on the mode you use. It lasted between an average of 25 to 37 minutes depending on the scale of footage from 1080p to 4K.Maybe too overpriced. I got it on sale but idk if $425 or roughly that is worth it.

Good little camera, just don’t use in low light. Expensive for what it is: no ability to pair/attach an external mic, no ability to expand memory. You’ll need to buy an $80 “quick reader” to move your files to an SD card, or plug the camera with the action pod to transfer directly to your computer. No removable battery, so carry a power bank with you. Limited to 30fps at 4k. If you’re ok with paying $770 with all these limitations, good for you. Tip: buy from shops that accept change of mind returns after you’ve opened the packaging, you might need that option.

Awesome camera, except don't trust hat clip

This camera makes really nice, if not a little overly saturated, POV footage. Image quality is about the same as a standard action camera, but this is much nicer to wear and much more discreet. Yes, the actual camera doesn't have a ton of battery life, but how much battery do you think you can put into something so small?I'm generally satisfied, but I've got a couple issues. First, I recently had it clipped on my hat for a day out in Chicago. I was wearing it on the back of my hat in case something interesting happened and I wanted to film it POV. I wasn't worried about the camera falling out because it locks into the hat clip securely. I don't even remember my head coming in contact with anything. Suggestion: make a better hat clip.Kudos to Insta360 for offering just the camera a la carte, so I can at least save a few bucks instead of having to buy the entire kit again. Finally, there needs to be support for wireless mics, like the DJI Mic 2. Wearing a camera can be great except for the fact that the camera can capture your breathing and talking much louder than your subject. These are my only insights so far as I only had the camera for a couple of weeks before I lost it and the replacement camera is special order and I have no idea when it will arrive.

Good to a point
23 December 2023

This is a good little POV for a short time. What I mean is if you are looking for something small and compact its perfect. Riding a bike through the trails, doing POV instructions vids like mechanical work this works. However this little thing heats up. Havent used it to point it shuts down to cool but it does get got hot. Since that battery heats it then drains. I tried the lower setting and the same thing. Now this can be just the one I purchased but doubtful. I still will grab point in shot the small factor still holds its value. Video comes out good for the small pixel and where its being posted. Overall it gets the job down but will of course need the bigger versions for the bigger jobs. Final words I would like to see this prices at least a hondo cheaper.

Great cam for POV and normal action shots.
24 August 2024

If you're in the market for a action cam but without all the complications of "which is the right settings." Look no further with the Insta360 Go 3s.I come from as a GoPro fan and started to dip into the Insta360 devices. If you enjoy creating POV videos and some normal action videos, then the Go 3s is a great starter camera. It already has presets to select and shoot. It also has Pro settings if you're comfortable with that. The entire camera is very lightweight and when the camera is out of the pod, it weights even less.As a seasoned action cam guy, I went with the Standard package. It has everything I need, which I suggest for anyone that's interested in this cam.

Software issue
28 December 2023

I really wanted to like this camera. I was very happy with the video quality and was taking some videos of my family. I reviewed all my footage on the app and decided to download the ones I liked. That’s when the problem started. Once I exported the video file from the app to my phone, the audio was out of sync with the video, not just in 1 video but all the ones I took. It only happened when I exported the videos, the videos on the app were fine, no audio issue. I tried different video modes and even a factory reset on the camera, but still the audio would not be sync with the video, it seems like the audio was about 3 to 4 seconds behind the video. I’m using a iPhone 13pro Max with the latest software. I’ve read other forums about people also having this problem. ... MoreI really wanted to like this camera. I give it two stars for design, image quality and ease of use, but at the end I can’t use any of the files since they all have an audio issue.

Very Versatile
5 April 2024

Love this little thing. Very Versatile. The little camera pops out and you can stick it pretty much on anything. Got it to document the little ones growing up, but also ended up attaching the magnetic part to a tank for a friends special occasion. My only complaints are that the smaller piece piece has very limited battery life (approx 45 min) and that the menu can sometimes be confusing (havent been using it lately). The screen is touch screen on the main unit and its not difficult to use, I just havent commited the usage to memory, just been using 4k video. Once the battery runs out on the small unit, just put it back in and you can continue to use again.Total battery life is approx 3 hours with the small piece holding a 45 minute charge on its on.
