This is my first Instant Pot, and I was excited to try pressure cooking. But after watching videos and reading the manual, the water test proved that something wasn't right. During the 5 minute cooking process, lots of steam started to release. After that, a quick release pushed a high steam upwards that it almost damaged my kitchen ceiling. So I am very nervous about using the Rio Wide as a pressure cooker. I will likely use it for the other features like saute and slow cooking. The instruction booklet says to use 3 quarts of water during the test, but online they say 3 cups. The book is hard to understand. I'm quite disappointed.

I was so excited to use my new instant pot! I had never used one before and was very excited to try it out! I read up on how to use one before I even unboxed my unit. I found a delicious beef stew recipe to try. I was able to use the sauté feature of the unit and the pressure cook part. The sauté was easy and seamless! I then added all my ingredients and basically hit go and waited! I did not like not seeing the action going on inside of the pot. I had no idea if things were even cooking but I trusted the process. I definitely didn’t account for the time needed to get to pressure. Took about 45 minutes longer than I anticipated from start to finish. Recipe turned out great!! I cleared off a low shelf to keep the unit lower since it was quite heavy and bulky. You need to store the unit with the lid upside down so it allows airflow. I was carrying my unit to my pantry and lowering it down, first the lid slipped and I tried to adjust to keep it on and then water started coming from somewhere and the entire unit slipped. Fell about 2 feet to the ground and busted out the bottom. Now I have an unusable unit. There is a rattle inside and the unit is not steady. I definitely am afraid to use a pressure cooker that has been compromised. Definitely wish the unit was more durable.

I am beyond pleased with this product the Rio white Duo is beyond helpful in my kitchen. I love the fact that it has so many different settings. I love the fact that it's much larger so it can serve my family and extended family even better. I love that the shallow and wide bowl is easy to use. The only niggling thing I did not like about this was that the start button is not highlighted so it's kind of difficult to see on the front of the machine. After you figure out where all the buttons are it's a piece of cake. I have used this at least 3 or 4 times a week since I received it to do a review. It makes soups it makes amazing roast it makes all sorts of different things I can't wait to see what else I can use it for. Bigger and better!

Amazed! I’ve had the narrower instant pot and wanted to get something bigger (wider was a bonus). Love how much more space there is in this pot. The electronic features are great. It does everything other instant pots can do but bigger. Tested this with a bone-in venison and it was amazing. Cleanup is easy with the lid and pot being dishwasher safe. Storage space is similar to a slow cooker. What a great addition to any kitchen with a family/party of four or more. Take prepared food on the go with the heat retention lasting a couple of hours. So glad we purchased this and we highly recommend it!

Can probably do things you don't realize.

I actually very afraid of pressure cookers and so is my husband. He had to learn everything he could before he would allow this to be used in the house. After reading up on this unit and what it can do, he was sold. A pot roast dinner on a work night in a fraction of the time wasn't a hard sell. So far I've only used my unit twice. I definitely need more recipes and need to experiment more. The pressure cook function works great. I haven't used much more than that so far. My first go around I definitely did not account for time to pressure, but lesson learned. The first time I picked up my unit I was not anticipating the weight, but I was lucky and hung onto my beaut. Fork tender short ribs in 45 minutes!

I have been late to the Insta Pot game and this is my first experience with the brand. I was a little skeptical of the results it could deliver and I didn’t see a need for another appliance to fill my tiny kitchen. Boy was I wrong. The first thing I planned to make were beef short ribs that I had squirreled away in the back of my freezer for a rainy day. I preheated the pot and seared the meat and deglazed the pan. I added all ingredients and set it to pressure cook. Forty five minutes later and my kitchen was filled with the aroma of beefy goodness. After the pressure released, I quickly grabbed a fork to test the texture of the meat. It was so tender and fell apart like nothing. The flavor was impeccable and I am now an InstaPot convert. Hands-down, the best appliance ever

I received the insta pot RIO wide the enhanced Duo from Influenster for my honest opinion. I absolutely love it . I wanted one for a while but I debated on getting it cuz what if I didn’t like it and all that I wish I would have gotten it a long time ago. You can literally make a meal in 25 minutes and that’s starting from frozen meat. It is so fast and still delicious. I have made broccoli and chicken with rice and cheese in 45 minutes. I have also made barbecue pulled pork in 25 minutes and that was starting from frozen meat and it was delicious. It is the best appliance I’ve ever owned. And this particular Insta pot duo has a magnetic grip so when you start your food, the bowl does not spin. I just wish this version would have came out sooner. I definitely recommend everyone to get it.

Huge disappointment. Who designs these?

This was a huge disappointment. First problem was I noticed the chipped paint where the lid hits the screw on top (horrible design) not sure if it came like that, or if I accidentally did it. Either way, it should not be. Then, I found myself staring at the device for 5 minutes wondering how to start it. Some genius thought it was a good idea to have the start button color to be a very dark green that blends into the rest of device. I couldn't see it in a dark kitchen. I thought I was going nuts! The moisture drip collector NEVER worked, not even once, not even a little. The lid got water EVERYWHERE after each time I had to open the lid. Another concern is they are not washing these beforehand. Instructions sat to wash before use and I did. But after a 3rd wash, I ... MoreThis was a huge disappointment. Look at how "professional" those lines are in the pic. It's laughable! I can't believe they want $130 for this. No glass lid, and the device never fully turns off. Instead it has a standby mode but device still says "off". If you want it completely off, you have to actually unplug it. This thing is an abomination to the market. Completely unacceptable.
