This Intex inflatable boat seems very well-made. I love how easy it was to assemble; the instructions were easy to read and follow. We have used this family boat three times already, and it is big enough for my family of 6. We were also able to bring all the things we needed on board. We purchased a motor because the oars were not fun to use the first time. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Hello Friends....We purchased this Boat with the mount and motor and this is a true review so please read it.The boat overall is awesome and so much fun!! Cup holder........Again there should be an attachment for cup holders.....they thought about rod holders but not cup holders I mean if you are on thewater of course you need water, beer, pop on the boat if part of fun.....so def. would need a cup holder.....but i've made my own.Overall.....I give 5 stars for this boat cause i'm handy and i could customize things for this boat you can also YOUTUBE some videosof other people doing cool stuff to the boat.So conclusion..........Buy this boat with Mount and MOTOR......Believe me you will need it. And have fun cause it's a fun boat with some extras that you need to get.WATCH some youtube videos and get out there and enjoy nature.CHEEERS!!!

Great little boat

This is a great little boat. It fits neatly in the back of my Prius. Inflated its a great size. The specs say 5 person, but I feel that would be a bit cramped, especially if youre using the oars. Its a wonderful size for 2-3, especially if youre bringing gear. Total weight capacity is around 865 for people, and 1300 for people+gear. In my state, Pennsylvania, we just needed to get a launch permit from the states boating website to use on state owned water, like state park lakes. It was about $20 for 2 years. No registration or titling. Obviously check with your own local government requirements. The instructions say not to use a high pressure air compressor, I used an intel quick fill 1100L/min pump, and it really didnt make the process go any faster. Also, using an electric pump seems to not inflate the boat properly, and you end up needing to use the hand pump to top it off. It takes about 10-15 minutes using the hand pump, and it took about the same time using the electric. Where the electric pump is worth it though, is for when youre done and need to deflate the boat. I use an inverter hooked to the battery in my Prius and just deflate using the pumps deflate port. That really makes a huge difference in time. And makes it easier to get all the air out to put itback in the bag for storage. If youre planning on getting a pump and inverter for your use, make sure your inverters wattage can handle the pumps requirements. Remember: Volts x Amps = Watts. It might not say on the box of the pump, but if you open the box, it should say somewhere on the cord or pump what its electrical uses are. Also, when youre done, leave the boat inflated when drying it off. It sounds like a no-brainer, but sometimes it just needs said. Makes it a million times easier. If youre going out with someone else, or even by yourself, make sure to buy a spare pair of oars. It has holders on the side if you dont plan on using them, but its a good redundancy to have.

New boat.

Awesome inflatable. Used to have a 4-person boat and I loved it. Thought I'd go a size up to accommodate my larger then life brother. Says he's lost weight but time will tell. This boat will give me all the room I need for my brother and the gear we will need. I have already blown it up and it's huge.. Cant wait to get on the water with it.

Nice boat for the Price you pay!

The boat is good and received brand new from the seller, but I doubt the stability of this boat! yes we faced a little high waves in our lake, the boat started float drastically. we really scared at that moment! all we 4 family members are present in that boat. its ok end of day the boat perfomed well!

Not bad

Took it out about 4 or 5 times so far. Everytime my setup process improves and I find ways to shave off set up time. I'm a little disappointed that during our 4th time out I heard an air leak behind my head. Not sure how We ended up with 2 small cuts on the top of the bow. I made sure I was packing and storing carefully. And the cuts were found on the bow. Used to included patches and slapped em on there. Held up for the three hours we were out and I took it out 1 time after. I will need to remove the patches and clean the area to repatch it the proper way, as instructed. The patches were starting to peel off on my last trip on the lake.

Not for EVERY water adventure

If you buy this please make sure that everyone onboard knows how to swim and is wearing a life vest. Also, be mindful of the body of water you are on and the weather conditions. A father and his two children recently were out on a large lake in one of these. The conditions were rough as the wind was high and the water was choppy. The kids jumped into swim. Neither of them knew how to swim and only one was wearing a vest. The one who was not wearing a vest started to drown so the father jumped in to save her but they were not able to get back on the raft. I know this because I was on the sailboat that recued the kids. They were farther from the shore than anyone who knows how to swim should have been and the water was fifty feet deep. Stable, strong and spacious

Bought this in 2014 but didn't get round to writing a review until now. Paid a little over 500 euros for the complete set including 75Ah battery and Sevylor motor. In addition, shortly after also bought a foldable "bolderkar" for transportation on the train. I have made many trips including Breukelen-Utrecht along the Vecht and Bunnik-Utrecht through Amelisweerd along the Kromme Rijn. Contrary to others, I have been very pleased with the range of the motor having typical trips lasting 3-4 hours and longer. I cannot say how the performance is affected when loaded with four adults but I usually travel with my two boys (10 and 12), a day bag and the (collapsed) bolder car. This means, with stops for drinks and lunch, the set up is more that enough for a day out on the plassen (have done both Vinkeveen and Loosdrecht). The only real thing to bare in mind is that the boat is an inflatable and NOT a rigid inflatable. This means it doesn't perform well on choppy water (typically the lakes shared by lots of other boats generating wake) since it is rather long and floppy. However, considering the price and size its a small issue which can be solved by choosing your destinations carefully.

Sweet Boat, shipping is a little frustrating.

I like others did not get the motor mount with the boat and there was not tracking for a second package. I waited for a week then tried to look into resolving the issue to no avail. I thought I was going to have to return it and buy it from someone else. Then low and behold it showed up on my door step about 10 days after I got the boat.Anyway, all is well that ends well. Now to get this puppy on the water. Very excited because all the videos on Youtube and the reviews I have read make this set up look pretty cool. I bought the Intex trolling motor and a battery and it should have enough power to cruise the lake for a weekend. $171 for the boat and motor mount, $99 for the motor and $75 for the battery equals lots of fun on camping trips and weekends. I am thinking about a DIY sunshade using a patio umbrella, a peice of carpeted wood, a PVC pipe and some straps to hold it in place but we will see. Youtube shows lots of upgrades to do. Unhappy

After I purchased the set up I was not happy with the trolling motor that came with it. It’s a 5 person raft and the smallest motor comes with it. It won’t move you around after all the weight you have between a battery and an anchor and yourself and whatever else you may want to bring. It would have to be a day with no wind for this setup to get you around a lake. I looked up prices for each item separately and it is cheaper than buying the combo.
