I'm 6ft 2" and 300+lbs, my 3 kids and myself fit in this spa pretty nicely. When heated to the max temp of 104deg F, it tends to drop to about 99deg F within 30-50 minutes, depending on the outside temperature. Because of the small heating unit it does take a while, about 24hours, to heat the tub to max temp when you first fill it up, then it heats up about 2 degrees every hour depending on outside temperature. The only real issue I have is that it is impossible to find a decently priced S1 filter for it in Canada. If you do order S1 filters from a Canadian supplier, you're looking at paying about 5 times more per filter than you would be if you order'd it from an american supplier. The included inflation hose connects to the pump, and it inflates in about 5 minutes. A few minutes more of inflation fills up the spa cover. So I purchased one of these in June 2015. I used it through the months of June through August. At the end of August I drained the spa and conducted the required maintenance to put the spa away for the winter. In May this year, I opened the spa and used it for only one month before the pump stopped working. I contacted the Intex customer Service only to learn that the product was past warranty. Nevertheless the service rep kindly said that they would replace the entire base unit! Fantastic, or so I thought. I received the new base unit in late July 2016. I hooked it up and got about 6 weeks of use before this pump also broke! Again I contact Intex customer service only to be told that the replacement part HAS NO WARRANTY. We bought this spa July 2015 and enjoyed it for 8 weeks, then it was carefully put away in our garage till June. The end of June it worked for a week, then the pipes that filter the water started to come apart. It will empty the spa completely in a day, so we continuously have to reapply electrical tape to keep it from leaking. The cover of the spa will not stay inflated. The spa is in a gazebo and is never exposed to the sun or rain. Very cheap quality, be prepared to enjoy for one summer only. We had a Coleman span that was around the same price that lasted 6 years. You will not get that with this spa. Customer Service is a joke and they will not sell replacement parts and will hang up on you.
I have owned this spa for 2 years now. If you are looking for a starter spa that is easy to setup, and will work for 1 year, then this is the spa for you.As soon as the warranty expires the problems begin. I've done my best for the last year, trying to keep the spa going, but I'm going to admit defeat soon.Problems:- Numerous leaks. I've patched 10 in total.- Both hoses that connect the control unit to the tub rotted out.- GFCI plug stopped working- Impellor shaft snapped twiceThe cheap ceramic impellor shaft is the most frustrating problem of all of them. It is a inexpensive part that they do not sell. I had to replace the entire assembly. This is a common problem with the spa that can be looked up online.
The water circulation pump could be 1-2 amps stronger and for the money I would have given it 5 star quality for the price. Doesn't take very much money to get 4-5 gpm. Now I know the Walton family don't have very much money but you would sell three times as many at least. If you got 2 people taken a quick soak and without using soap or shampoo if you don't change the water every 3-4 days you have to buy a pump and filter. So what are the ramifications of that. Were do you put everything. Like I said if you want to get people talking about your unit put a pump in there about 2 amps stronger. You will sell lots more filters so over time you will make it back in spades. For one person like me that is not to picky it's great.
I urge anybody thinking about purchasing these products to purchase another brand! I ordered my product on June 29th, 2015 and it was delivered July 13th. As we live in Newfoundland the summer season ends August 30th, meaning we had about 5 weeks use after the water warmed up. In setting up the product for this season which starts July1st, a piece that was covered by warranty was broken. When we contacted Intex we were told that the item is popular for breaking and will not be available till August 29th! Meaning we will have no use of our product this season! The representative told me to buy one on eBay!!! Pathetic warranty! What company offers a warranty on a seasonal product and can't provide the items during the season they are required!
We brought ours home and immediately there was no suction on one of the intakes. This caused the control system to continually shut down. After calling Intex, they sent us a new motor with 7 pictures showing how to replace the motor myself. No words, just small black and white pictures. It took a little over an hour and was very frustrating. And amazingly... no suction on the same intake when we started it back up! So disappointed. This will be returned and we will not be buying Intex again.

If you put the bubbles on, you got 15 min to enjoy it as the temperature drops with 10 min to under 100. to get it hot again it take 2 hours.Called there office for warranty, got someone that barley speaks English. And she explained to me the carrying bag is not under warranty and they will not replace it. The cover leak, I have to cut out the logo from it send it to them and they will send me a new cover. This will take about 14 days that I will have no cover (if I get the new one from them or it will get lost in the mail).Made very cheap and the warranty and service is worthless. DO NOT BUY THIS ...
