I purchased my first ionmax 612 around 4 years. It worked perfectly, no issues. Then due to fault of my own, I had to replace it. I purchased through one of their suppliers, it turned out to be faulty. I then returned that and got a replacement, it also turned out faulty and rattled so I returned that and got a refund. I then decided to purchase directly through this store and now weeks later, yet another dehumidifier that is rattling. One moment the dehumidifier is fine, next moment it's rattling. It does a terrific job of removing moisture from the air in a quiet and fairly compact manner. I live in the tropics and the unit draws out 2 litres of moisture (water), from one room every 24 hours. The unit is white and very sturdy. It's one of the only appliances I've bought in recent years that actually feels like it is built to last but only time will tell if it is. All in all I'm happy with this product and I don't mind having spent the extra money for it because I have peace of mind knowing it does a brilliant job, is easy to use, doesn't take up too much space, and is quiet. I purchased this machine some weeks ago. Placing the order to delivery was easy and fast. The dehumidifier works efficiently and has made a massive difference to the condensation and moisture in our room. I am surprised by the amount of water it collects daily. Hopefully will keep the mould at bay. The settings are very easy to use from low to high. Although I don't keep the unit running when sleeping, it operates from morning to bedtime. Very very very impressed with this machine (the first-ever dehumidifier I have purchased) and I am going to purchase another one as it works brilliantly.

This dehumidifier is absolutely brilliant, it certainly is as good as the Choice reviews and others on this site. It has made a huge difference in an area of our home that is cold and damp and was starting to have mould issues. It draws a huge amount of water and it’s really easy to use and empty. The setting for drying laundry inside is also a great option for apartment living. It’s not particularly noisy though on the highest setting it’s certainly noticeable but not much more than a loud fan - i wouldn’t have it on the highest setting in a bedroom overnight but it doesn’t interrupt normal life. Excellent service from Appliances Online as usual.
After months of rain and leaking roof with mouldy shoes and clothes decided on this product after a neighbours recommendation. It has been amazing. Have run it every day for 10 days and it's pulling almost 2ltrs of moisture out of the air every day. The bedrooms and hallway where the leak was are drying out and smell much fresher. With more rain forecast and ground sodden will keep using it to prevent mould forming and to clear the general musty smell in the unheated part of the house. Absolutely love it and would highly recommend it.
This dehumidier worked great for the first month then started leaking from the side seam intermittently during prolonged use. It creates a large puddle under itself which is an obvious hazard. To my utter amazement, despite having video evidence of the leaking, Dicksmith to date as rejected my faulty claim out of hand without explaination. I will be pursing the matter further but would not recommend the product or retailer. If this issue is successfully resolved I will leave further feedback to that effect.
I have been used the ION612 for a few weeks. The water tank is not really big so you may have to empty it once or twice a day if you use the dehumidifier longer. The average humidity in my apartment is always above 60. Sometimes the bedroom is above 70. The dehumidifier works well to reduce the humidity to around 50 and also brings the temperature up. It won't achieve the desired result in a day but overall it works well. Its laundry function is really working when you are living in an apartment where the strata restrict balcony usage.
Our second Ionmax dehumidifier, we also have two Delonghi compressor units which I've had to repair so I can speak from some experience. The Ionmax units are feature rich, the timer is really handy but so is being able to set the power and humidity level. I'd tend to avoid the very large units with the big tanks. Remember you're likely going to have to carry that tank of water some distance unless you're using the unit for a bathroom.The ION612 comes with a good sized tank plus with a silver nanoparticle filter and a negative ion generator. We've found it great when left run for 2 hours before bedtime. It's quiet enough to leave running but probably unnecessary. I knew very little of demudifiers prior to making this purchase, now after experiencing what they do I cannot state how important they are to every household especially for people with asthma or allergies.I suffer from extremely mild asthma and could never pin point why in the morning I would wake up with coughing that later cleared in the day. My bedroom doesn't get much sunlight and the air flow is not great. After reading the health benefits of the dehumidfiers I thought there was no way they'd be that effective and after receiving it and running it just in my small room within 8 hours it had gathered 2 litres of water. I've had this for about a month and it has done a great job drying up our apartment. We cleaned mould off our windows and frames before using it and there's been no new growth since then. We run it every day to keep the worst rooms dry - usually takes a couple of hours or so to reach 50% humidity.The laundry mode also works well as long as you're patient. We put the laundry in a small bedroom and ran it overnight and by the morning it was bone dry and the room was free of any condensation. This was in the middle of winter. Previously the room would be dripping every morning and had ongoing issues with mould.Obviously too soon to tell how long the machine will last but it's performing well at the moment.
