Following recent storm/flooding damage investing in a good, heavy hitting dehumidifier was back at the top of the list. Very impressed with this machine that has been running 24/7 for a few weeks now without missing a beat. Isn’t the quietest machine, so not ideal for a bedroom, but it works great in the upstairs lounge area to keep the lounge & bedroom areas controlled. Great at drying laundry quickly in the middle of a cold, wet winter too. Also good at keeping the area warmer too when used on highest dehumidifier settings. The tank is easily removed, emptied and reinstalled. My only gripe would be for a much longer tube for continuous drainage.

I purchased the Dehumidifier due to molds & high humidity in my apartment. Also my place has a very high ceiling around 4m, and polished concrete flooring and large windows. Hence, during winter it always feels so much colder inside. The aircon was not effective to warm the area, due to heat rises to the ceiling. The Ion632 is a very good solution to my problems. It reduces humidity in the air, and now the Aircon is practically off during winter. When I ran the machine in the first few night, the water container fills up quickly, showing it does work well. Happy with my purchase and Appliances Online is very good with ordering and deliveries.

Thanks to La Nina we were beginning to have a problem with mould in our bedroom and bought an Ionmax ION610 dehumidifier, having read that desiccant dehumidifiers were better than refrigerant models for the cooler climate here in Bowral. (They are also lighter!) I was then pleased to see that of the five dehumidifiers recommended by CHOICE [August 2021], three are Ionmax. The machine did an excellent job but sadly (and I suspect unusually) developed a fault and stopped collecting water. It was still under warranty and we sent it for repair to Andatech in Nunawading via Australia Post, a process facilitated by the company and a week later it arrived back in Bowral in good working order. Our thanks and compliments to Andatech (and Australia Post).

I bought this based on the CHOICE recommendation. I’m very impressed. On the low setting, it is very quiet yet still pulls the moisture out of the air quite quickly. It’s easy to change the settings, and the tank is easy to remove, empty, and replace. It would be nice if the tank had a spout or something for emptying, rather than having to remove the lid, but that’s a minor quibble.
After a lot of research & tossing up between this model and the Vienne the final decision came down to $’s. It’s awesome, easy to use, move, empty etc. Lots of reviews mention noise, yes it’s not super quiet but it’s using a fan so to expect noiseless isn’t being realistic. The amount of water it’s extracted is certainly surprising. Although my rooms weren’t smelly they now smell so much fresher. Initial bedding in smell is not offensive by any means. I’m VERY VERY HAPPY with this product. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have been struggling to get rid of the condensation situation in our bedroom during winter in Canberra for ages. After some research, we got this Ionmax to try if it will solve our problem. Still very sceptical at first. However, it worked magic. No more wet windows. Ionmax is very easy to use. Appliances online offers very competitive price and the whole process was swift. They have the most well mannered delivery team as well. Highly recommended!

I am surprised that even in a smaller room (<15m2) it takes a few days to get the RH% down to 50% (even on non wet days), but that might be more a measure of the level of dampness in the room than anything else. I’ve not had a dehumidifier before to compare. The IonMax does the job well.. it’s easy on the eye, the water reservoir is easy to remove and empty, It’s not too loud (although I wouldn’t recommend having it on while sleeping). Reasonable user guide to understand what the settings/buttons mean. I ordered using express delivery.. Ordered on Monday and I had it in Sydney by Thr. While you do have the 50%, 60% and 40% settings, it would be good to have higher resolution. I’ve had to buy a little hand held Hygrometer (a cheap one under $20) to work out which rooms need the dehumidifer most. Of course the little hand held doesn't match the Ionmax response, ie the Ionmax set at 50%RH goes to fan mode when the handheld says its 44%RH. If not a display, then a led light telling you it’s on fan would be helpful. Saves having to listen in and or switch to 60% (from 50% to see if the sound changes) Perhaps a couple of wheels on the back of the Ionmax would help move it from room to room - easier for those who aren’t quite so strong or mobile.
Already owning the Vienne, I thought this little machine would be a gutless toy and was regretting my purchase as soon as I saw its diminutive size. However the room's humidity monitor quickly showed its effectiveness, along with the water filling its compact tank. This machine is easily the equivalent of the Breville All Climate (which I also have) for around $200 less. The Breville has a slightly larger tank (2L vs 1.8L) along with a significantly higher exit temperature (the ION610 runs cool). This is a great machine for smaller spaces and/or for daily/regular dehumidifier runs. Its just a pity that IONMAX struggles to maintain supply of their range of dehumidifiers (in 2022).
Can’t believe how much water is being sucked from my home while I am trying to control mould. Not living in flood area but very high humidity in rural town in southern NSW. Unusual year everywhere. Conscious that mould is a health hazard so very important to do everything to remove it. I keep two machines on 24 hrs a day. Great results. Have to say I prefer the ION630 which I bought first but was sold out. ION632 does the job very well but has smaller tank and is a bit noisier although I don’t use it in bedroom at night.. Highly recommended. I bought another one for my daughter…can’t say more than that!
I bought this dehumidifier because of the great reviews, so thank you people who cared enough to do that! My mum has a lung condition and has to have oxygen in the mornings or when she does things. She also has been coughing for a lo g time during the night which keeps her up at night and coughs up phlegm during the day which make her tried and needs oxygen! Ever since I bought thus product within 3 days she has stopped coughing at night and now sleeps well and the day cough and phlegm has reduced so much! Thank you so much! Now looking for an air purifier for myself and will stick with the same brand.🥰
