OK the main readon I bought this phone is cause of the AOD setting and it doesn't work and yes everything is set up right and I've done the reset to factory settings and still not wkn. No I don't have low battery mode on or anything that would prevent it from working. I have an iPhone 12 pro max and the 2 phones are identical aside from dynamic Island and what's supposed to be AOD mode. I'm a galaxy girl and they've had this option for like 15 yrs and that is why I was excited about this option. I even exchanged the phone for another color (of course I was stuck paying the restocking fee lol) and that phone was doing the sane thing so once I got the 2nd 14 pro max I did some investigating since I'm a tech and I guess after the 16.2 software update that's when ... They just came out with 16.3 update but no fix. I've called Apple 6 times and finally the last guy stated they knew about the problem but the other 4 ppl before him claimed no one had called in about it. I even called my carrier to see if anyone called in about it and they said no. I'm very frustrated and am so glad that my Samsung galaxy device is my main phone cause I need to know when I get notifications. When I get a notification on my galaxy the screen dimly stays lit to alert me of a msg but with iPhone that was never the case. You always had to turn on the side button or back in the day the button on the lower part of the phone to know when you had msgs. It's 1 thing if you're in the room but say you walk away and do something you come back and never know you get an alert cause the AOD isn't wkn. If this isn't fixed within the 30 day mark till I can return this phone it's def going back. I still have a iPhone 12 pro max that I got in late 2020 that looks great and wks beautifully so I'll just keep that and my note 20 ultra. I'm excited for the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra to come out soon so I'll have that to look forward to. This is why I can never enjoy Apple products cause their software updates keep messing things up. Yes they come out with a fix but then once they do for 1 thing there's another issue. They don't know when to leave well enough alone. Sorry iphone lovers bit that's how I feel. They're also way behind in technology. I can do 80 times more on a galaxy Droid than on any iPhone. I just hope there's a fix for this. Honestly everything else seems to work fine but that and if you can hold off till the iPhone 15 I would if I were you. I'm already reading what's to come and it sound like it will be better but then again don't they always say that with every iPhone? Lol And there's the part where it says would you recommend this product I will say yes but just be aware of the AOD glitch. If you're someone who doesn't give a hoot about that feature than go for it!

I was extremely impressed with the sound quality, camera options, clear video, faster processor, the Pro Max size and battery life. The sound quality on my iPhone 12 had a fake and dull sound for bass and it began to distort when the volume increased. However, with this iPhone 14 Pro Max, the bass blends in very well and the sound clarity is incredible, even when the volume is turned up. There’s no need for a Bluetooth speaker! The camera for taking pictures is clearer than the iPhone 12. Taking videos on my iPhone 12 were grainy if I ever zoomed in. Additionally, you can make numerous changes with lighting, size, effects, length, and many other options to videos after they’re taken on this 14 Pro Max. This is an awesome improvement! The processor is faster, too, allowing no lag time. The occasional lag time flipping between apps on my old iPhone 12 would be annoying. If you buy size Large or Extra Large gloves for the winter or working in the yard, then your hands will have no problem with the larger size of this iPhone 14 Pro Max. The larger screen is great to provide more text messages to be visible at once, great for playing games or watching videos, and other numerous reasons.Lastly, the battery life typically lasts two days. When I’m at work, I don’t use it too much. So, on average, my screen is typically on for about 5 hours a day. I LOVE only having to charge my phone every other day. Such a significant difference from my previous phone.I am very impressed with this iPhone 14 Pro Max, and am thrilled I upgraded.

Frankly I’m a little annoyed by surveys in general. To start I want to be clear and give companies some advice… - You need to BE PATIENT before bombarding customers with a “How are you enjoying your product” survey request because I’ll be honest; you’re NOT giving anyone ample time to enjoy or determine whether or not a phone is right for us! At least wait 90 days before requesting we fill out a survey. I’ve literally only had my phone for about 2 weeks now and I’m still working into the transition from Android to IOS. I’ll admit that an iPhone was not EVER going to be a first choice for me - I’d prefer Motorola over either Apple or Samsung (and Samsung is boycotted in my eyes) so you can see where the default choice lands. I chose iPhone for a professional reason - ... MoreFrankly I’m a little annoyed by surveys in general. I chose iPhone for a professional reason - wanting to build my design career and since I have had my iPad for over a year now (and locking myself out once already) I NEEDED a backup device to ensure I didn’t have to go to Geeksquad or The Apple Store to unlock it. Suffice to say, I feel like a moron for giving the iPhone crap all these years. It’s a solid device and you’ll get your money’s worth in the hardware! As an investor of any product, if the worth is valid… go big for the buck and it stands why I went with the 14 Pro Max. It has what I need and for what I haven’t yet learned about my phone already, I’m sure that this device will surprise me down the road with what else it has to offer! Also, I know I am giving only 4 stars but that’s what brings me back to my first point - I’m reviewing a product I still don’t fully know and despite it being worthy of 4 stars… if I was given more time AND NOT RUSHED INTO GIVING MY OPINION… then I might have given that extra star. But this phone and any other phone would be deserving of not meeting a full perfect grade just because “nothing/no one is perfect”. At least this generation of iPhone meets the criteria for functionality and aesthetics to make me NOT regret investing into Apple for the second time in my life!

I’ve owned and used plethora of smartphones in the past 10 years such as the Galaxy S3, S5, S8+, S20FE 5G, iPhone 12 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, my favorite phone till now was my Galaxy S8+. Unfortunately, the iPhone 12 Pro only lasted less than a year; it was one of the two most problematic phones I ever had within the past 2 years, where Apple technical support was involved. I never had preordered a phone before and this was a first for many; also a first for costing way over $1000. Within hours of owning this device I was already recommending this to my friends, as my colleges and supervisor already ordered theirs.Apple has outdone Samsung on this phone, even though it took them ages on getting certain features that were on my Galaxy S8+, but done so ... Within hours of owning this device I was already recommending this to my friends, as my colleges and supervisor already ordered theirs.Apple has outdone Samsung on this phone, even though it took them ages on getting certain features that were on my Galaxy S8+, but done so perfectly. The iPhone 14 Pro Max does feel more premium than the regular iPhone 12 Pro, and this device blows everything out the water in my opinion. It just didn’t made sense to spend $1000+ on the Galaxy lineup when they only have internal storage and lacked expandable storage, and just didn’t feel as premium as a $1000+ device should be.Compared to the 12 Pro, this is very snappy and quick. Display is way better. Camera definitely blows the 12 Pro out of the water when compared. The Dynamic Island just blends in perfectly unlike the notch of the 12 Pro (couldn’t watch anything in full screen). Battery life is significant as it should last me more than the normal working day for me.
As the title states, there are some dramatic improvements in things like battery life, higher reactivity with the slightly improved processor. The refresh rate is a nice jump from the standard 60 FPS, making scrolling, reading, etc. feel much more fluid. Be warned there are some caveats to the limitations of the software, (for now) but they should be ironed out and minimized as problems after some more updates.Dynamic island is useful, but seems relatively gimmicky, considering the lack of support/minimalistic support for many apps, I also say the “Island” is more obstructive than the older notch… but that may just be something I have to adjust to.In terms of camera quality? The improvements are there, but relatively marginal. It still looks like your 12 megapixel alternates, but at least on the main camera, you can zoom in approximately 2x as much with equivalent detail to the older phones. Color accuracy/contrast seems better, and less lens flaring seems present in the new models… I noticed no difference in the ability for nighttime photography, which is actually one of the improvements I was really hoping for, but alas, doesn’t seem to be in the hardware’s range of ability.Would I recommend over the 13 Series? Absolutely not… the improvements just going from the 12 Series are “fair enough” but not breathtaking or surprising in anyway…If you want a classic iPhone experience? Maybe the 8 to 12% improvement might be worth it for you, but the only real improvement is the battery life and the main camera at 1x or 2X zoom.
I'll be honest- I have been an Android user for over a decade. I always found better features at a better price in the Android space, plus the Samsung phone cameras were better IMO than the Apple ones in the same price point. But turns out iOS makes you 76 percent more attractive to women (it's science-look it up), and if you are texting an iPhone user from an Android phone, your messages are green which is apparently hideous. So now my message bubbles are blue and I'm getting a lot more dates. Oh, this gets 4 stars because when I got the new phone, I could not send pictures over text messages to Android users, nor would any group messaging work if anyone in the group had an Android. Oh, this gets 4 stars because when I got the new phone, I could not send pictures over text messages to Android users, nor would any group messaging work if anyone in the group had an Android. I made sure all of my settings were enabled for Messages to ensure that Group Messaging and Use SMS if iMessage was unavailable, but still couldn't get things to work. I finally had to contact Verizon and they made some kind of change to my "network settings" that would allow my new iPhone to communicate properly via text with those schlubs still using Android. The phone has some nice features, like the memoji face tracking, Air Drop, and a few other iOS specific things. Some things are still clunky to me, like attaching images in messages, keyboard settings, widgets on the home screen that don't respect the settings I configure, etc... I'm sure after time I'll get more comfortable with it, but let's be real- that's not why I got the phone. I got the phone because of the pressure to be cool, and being on Android is for dweebs.
I’ve had every iPhone starting from a lovely iPhone 4 in white. Once Apple started production of their “plus” and “Max” models, I switched to those because who doesn’t love more screen, and if you’re going for a new one, why not get one with all the bells and whistles. After switching from the 11 pro max to the 12 pro max, there was regret. There wasn’t much difference in my opinion. When the 13 Pro Max was announced and shown, i thought “ well, a change in the screen, it must have many differences from the 12 “… yes they come up with a “ faster chip “ with each model, but truth be told, the only difference I see, is the large notch that doesn’t really give you more screen. The gap between the notch and edge is very thin, so the purpose in all actuality is none at all. The performance is the same, I play Diablo immortal and the performance settings for the game will not let me go any higher than the 12 model. Apples M1 chip and M2 chip are supposed to be night and day in their macs, but the chips in the phone, feel like a twin. One thing I have noticed since the 11 pro max which had wonderful battery life, is the 13 pro max, drains much much faster, and I’m I light user. I only game on occasion. When comparing the 12 pro max reception to the 13 Pro Max, there is a noticeable latency due to what I’m guessing is the fact that there is no longer a physical sim, but i could be wrong. My cases from my 12 fit perfectly. I will admit that they did move the camera area over a little, so some of my cases do cover a sliver of the raised camera area, but not nearly enough to affect the flashlight or the multiple cameras performance. Lastly, the one thing that is bothersome between the pro max models and the regular standards, is the options of color. You would think, I always hope, that if you’re paying for the top of the line model, then customization would be equivalent to the cheaper availabilities. With all that being sad. If you’re in an 11 or 12, save that upgrade for when Apple decides to do a full noticeable upscale. There are androids that have the front facing camera built in under the screen where you can’t even see it, giving you 100% screen availability, and fingerprint readers built into the screen or on the power button. Had Apple really amped up the performance without the battery drainage and gotten with 2022 where they could take some excellent pointers from some android features, my review would more than likely be much more favorable.

It is way bigger than competing display cutouts.-iOS is missing a lot of convenient features from Android-UI Navigation could be more intuitive and consistent-Still using Apple's lightning port; slow charging-Notification system is behind Android-Highly praised A16 Bionic chip is limited by slow animations.-ExpensiveIf you're invested in the Apple ecosystem, this or the regular Pro are the logical phone choices. That said, high end Android devices give you more for the money. If you're using an iPhone 13 Pro Max, there is almost zero reason to upgrade. Overall, this is a great phone, but a few of the design choices keep me from saying it's an absolute winner.
I am not going to get into the thick of it for this review, as I am assuming most of you who are getting an iPhone 14 Pro Max already know why Apple makes great phones. So for this I will give you my perspective on what sticks out and how it has gone for me so far upgrading from the iPhone 12 Pro to the iPhone 14 Pro Max:THINGS I LIKED:- The new “eSim” technology means no more SIM cards needed! I think that is going to be very convenient for a lot of people out there who only ever use 1 phone and do not need the hassle of messing with those little SIM cards. Seriously it was very easy to set up via Verizon and I was able to do the whole setup at home.- The screen is gorgeous! I love how big the screen is, along with the great clarity/colors it produces, and the ... I think that is going to be very convenient for a lot of people out there who only ever use 1 phone and do not need the hassle of messing with those little SIM cards. Seriously it was very easy to set up via Verizon and I was able to do the whole setup at home.- The screen is gorgeous! I love how big the screen is, along with the great clarity/colors it produces, and the 120hz refresh rate made everything feel sooo smooth and fast. Very happy with his aspect!- The new “Dynamic Island” (aka the pill notch instead of the notch they use in the past) is a clever idea. It adds more space to the screen and they do a great job of incorporating apps into the dynamic island. Whether I am taking phone calls, using Spotify, or navigating with maps, its a nice animation to have everything housed there.- The always on display is a nice new feature to have so you can see everything at a glance without having to unlock the screen.- The camera is BIG on the back but it takes excellent pictures and videos. Seriously the pictures look wonderful with a lot of detail and the new video modes are nice to have and capture everything really smoothly.- Also the speakers are much louder and clearer than before, the processor in this thing is super fast, and my WiFi / 5G connections are very strong so far as well!- Finally, I am really excited for the battery life on this! I have not used it long enough to provide a better perspective, but from what I have read this thing should be long lasting on those big heavy using phone days.SIZE DIFFERENCE (12 Pro —> 14 Pro Max):- This is of course a much larger phone than the 12 Pro, but instantly the 14 Pro Max felt great in my hands. I like having more of the real estate for reading articles, typing emails, and more space for watching videos.- The phone is of course bigger to handle and heavier too. Initially is feels like a lot but I have gotten more use to it the more I use it for sure.- Overall, I am glad I made the jump to the bigger screen size and I think that I will enjoy having the larger screen more than I will miss having a smaller more portable phone.THINGS I WISH WERE DIFFERENT:- As I said before, I wish this phone was thinner and lighter. It’s not like its a deal breaker for me, but it is a big phone.- Still charges via lightening, I wish it was USB-C- Lastly, the Always on Display is a nice option to have but I likely will not use it much. It would be nice if you could have always on display only turned on during certain times or when you have a certain focus mode turned on. But that could be a software update later on.BOTTOM LINE:- I was coming from the iPhone 12 Pro and upgrading to the 14 Pro Max is definitely a worthy upgrade! The screen is beautiful, everything is very fast and responsive, the camera is a major upgrade, and overall I feel like I am getting a new phone with noticeable improvements, which is all any of us really want! We want to feel like we bought something that is better than we had before, and I think the 14 Pro Max really nails it!
