Irwin New Pro Performance abrasive mesh range provides outstanding sanding result with 4X Longer Life than standard aluminum oxide sandpaper. The silicon carbide open weave design provides a smoother finish and more effective dust removal. The hook and loop backing design eliminates the need for a dedicated hole pattern, making it easy for disc placement. After intensive use the disc can be simply removed and tapped clean or washed off. After drying, the abrasive mesh is ready to be used again. Universal fitment, no additional connect pad required.

It sands well, however the issue is with the backing material which is used to attach to the Velcro of my random orbital sander. After single use, the backing of the sanding net falls off rendering it useless (see picture). One of the sanding nests left some of the backing material stuck on the velcro of my sander. Dont waste your money look elsewhere

An honest review.Bought a multi pack. Used a 40 and 80 grit on a 125mm random AEG removing paint and weathered woodfrom old timber on railing.Pros - removes material quickly and efficiently- perforated design ejects material well.Cons - Edges fray very quickly under minimal load.-abrasive mesh pad separated completely from loop pad after about 20 minutes of use and shot off across the yardLike a Frisbee which is probably not ideal.

I bought a packed of 25 , 240 grit about 6 weeks ago. They stick to the pad well and sand very well. Problem is that when you remove them to use a finer disc the backing comes off the mesh which stuffs them completely. If doing small jobs you can't reuse them. I normally buy Diablo but non were available in 240 grit at the time.

I bought these on claim of 4X life and they certainly last, but if you go near an edge or need to angle the sanding surface at all, the outer edge of the disc quickly disappears and it all starts to disintegrate. Trying to remove it destroys it. If I had a nice flat table with no edges or uneven joints would be great I think, but easily damaged trying to sand something complex like a chair for instance.
Mesh sanding discs can be good, but these ones are rubbish. The cloth backing is flimsy and tears easily, and very quickly loses its fluff so doesn’t stick to the Velcro sanding pad. The advantages of mesh sanding discs are a longer life and better dust collection, but these are worse at both compared to regular sanding discs. Do yourself a favour and buy the Diablo discs from the same aisle. Much better quality and longer lasting.
Bought two packets, first disc last 90 seconds before mesh seperated from backing. Second disc lasted about five minutes before spearing off the sander onto the grass. Cannot recommend. Returned for refund and went back to the paper backed sandpaper.
Great in theory but rubbish in practise. Abrasive mesh doesn’t clog as quickly as regular sandpaper but the backing peels off well before you can get proper use out of the disc. Being Irwin I had faith in the product but this is appalling.
Sanding pine slab for table. Used both Bosch standard pads and these. Very average, backing comes off quickly so you can't really clean them like advertised. Overall average. Less material seems to get removed aswell but that's not tested, just my opinion at the moment.
My partner got it in few different grits, it’s actually so bad that I wasn’t sure if that’s defective or something like that. But reviews says it all, get the bullpower red one!
I bought some of the 80 grit mesh to work on my 150 sander and it's good but it has issues.when removing it from the disc it tore the backing off. I thought this was a fluke but it happened a 2nd time.not super impressed with this product at this point. tried to call Irwin customer support on this and they palmed me off.
