Brilliant. Just ordered the 4th bag, buying for my Great dane, recently discovered he has a wheat allergy, causing him bad mange looking dermatitis. This food is the BEST quality you can get, no other brand in Aus has such quality ingredients, even looking at other grainfree brands ingredients, they all had fillers and yeast. So I couldn't even try them, with the chance of the yeast causing gas, bloating being fatal to great Danes, I was not going to risk it.This is a godsend. Solid ingredients, he loves it, and drools every where when its feeding time.Previously our vet recommended trialling "eukanuba dermatosis fp" which is not only being discontinued but he lost 6kg on it, he was already lean, but recommended for his weight (58kg) 2 cups of dry a day a day? I wasn't aloud to feed him anything else, so he was fed 3-4 cups morning AND night.(No worms by the way.)Anyway I switched to "eukanuba large breed" thinking it might be more suitable, and as "high quality" being the same brand..he stopped losing weight but even on 4-5 cups a day, (note he was also back on his daily chicken carcasses,) he wasn't gaining any weight back, plus it had wheat, and surely he got horrible dermatitis again. That was when I knew that he was allergic, and set out looking for a wheat free dry food, once we switched to this brand, his coat got a beautiful sheen, its silky soft, his winter coat has come in for the first time, thick and fluffy, his dermatitis (bald patches/scaly skin) are almost completely healed. He finally got some weight back on him, last time at the vets he was back at 56kg, and I know he's gained more muscle again since, his ribs aren't showing, he is lean again, and it seems like he feels better too, he has a bounce in his step now, and he doesn't suddenly crash on the couch. His energy is constant and slowly drops at night, he is no longer exhausted by the end of our walk or hypo again for an hour or so after dinner. This is so great I could cry.The only thing "bad" about this is the bags let got at the top after a couple days so it is constantly open, this isn't a problem for us as he eats so much it has no time to go stale, but someone with a small dog might want to invest in a large container to keep it fresh, it's worth it.

Opal has been eating this for about 3 years now. Opal is an 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog. At age 2 she was diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) for this reason we need to feed her a grain free diet. Before Ivory Coat was available we had to buy an imported food. Opal's condition is treated with additional enzymes and vitamins but when we initially switched her to Ivory Coat her condition improved even more and she has never looked back. Opal is happy and healthy and eats every bit of her food. She flips the bowl after every meal to make sure she hasn't missed a morsel!

Consistently excellent service

Fantastic product
12 August 2021

I always aim to feed my dogs a grain free dry food because I've seen too many skin issues and allergies stem from grain.I could not be happier with this food. I was feeding a great oz made and owned food with similar nutrition levels but they went bust. I researched ivory coat and it sounded great.I don't have to feed the same amount with ivory coat as I did the other food, proof was that scooping the same amount every night for two weeks made my shepherd fat, Oops!Ivory coat has made his coat softer and it's not as oily and therefore less smelly, as is his breath!Even more amazingly, after fighting for 8 years to keep a decent amount of weight on my husky (they eat very small meals) she is finally the perfect weight! Thanks ivory coat and thanks Pet post!

Good size for food
13 January 2023

I'm very glad to see an 8kg size bag. I have been buying the 13kg bags for my small dog as it was better value for money than frequently buying the 2kg size. Pet Circle delivery to metro areas is super quick as always. Thank you so much for your excellent service!

It upsets my dogs' stomach
28 September 2021

It's the first time I bought this variety of Ivory Coat. I have 2 malamutes. Both of them couldn't cope with this dry food. After eating this, the poo became very very dry. The first half pile was hard followed by almost powdery like. And they couldn't hold it, they had to poop multiple times a day.It might work for other dogs. But you might just need to buy a small bag and try it out first.

Our 5 yo GSD eats this dry food, she is sensitive to chicken which makes her skin itch and upsets her stomach (runny poo) and most dry foods contain a lot of chicken so this is perfect for her. We mix it with fresh diced beef and dried liver treats👍

Love it :)

My Cocker Spaniel loves these! I've tried three other premium dog food brands and raw food diet, but this seems to be the best for her! I used to have to get her anal glands expressed every 2-4 weeks and I haven't had any troubles since Ivory Coat :)

Made my dog sick!
1 February 2023

I have a few points to mention about this product. I had to give it 1 star as it wouldn't let me post without giving it a star but this product for me deserves no stars.1. My dog threw up and has had diarrhoea for several days since starting this product. It's the only change to his food I have made so I know this product is what has caused him to be sick.2. Ivory Coat is not an Australian company as stated in the info section. They were an Australian company until a couple of years ago when they were sold to Real Pet Foods which is a Chinese company. I wanted to buy Australian so this was very misleading information.3. I ordered 4kg and only used about 1kg the rest has been thrown in the bin. I'm not saying that this product will make your dog sick but it made mine sick and I wanted to post this review to let others know.

Made my dog very sick
27 February 2023

I started feeding my dog this product, only change I made to her diet and my dog got really sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Stopped feeding this and she went back to normal. Be very careful with this product, after a quick search I found many people with the same problem and worse!
