The CR Airbrush is the perfect tool for those new to airbrushing. Gravity-fed, it has a 0.5 mm. needle and nozzle combination and a 1/3 oz. gravity feed cup. The funnel design of the cup makes clean-up easier, with less wasted paint, while the short distance from cup to nozzle allows for more consistent paint flow. The CR Airbrush features a double action main lever and a counter-weighted ergonomic handle. It has a spray pattern of 1/16 in. to 1 1/2 in. Replacement nozzles are also available.

A great airbrush for everything but super detailing. In par (but not entirely up) to the known Iwata quality. Nice balance in hand and effortless spraying of even cover and density. The price is fair. For a more accurate review one needs to take into account the airbrush quality and resistance through time, so this by far not a complete review. For what I bought it for (airbrush primers, varnishes etc) is perfect.

I'm not an artist, I bought the airbrush to paint small to medium model parts. I've used it with both acrylic and enamel paints and the results have been superb. I'm amazed that I was able to get these results with a relatively low cost airbrush. Free shipping from Spraygunner was lightning fast. One word of advice: buy the hose adapter from Spraygunner. I assumed that I would be able to connect to my compressor with locally available fittings and that didn't work.

I chose the Revolution HP-CR as a second airbrush to the Eclipse HP-CS, which I already have. I wanted a tool with similar quality to the HP-CS, with a larger needle / nozzle combo, at a lower price point. I use the HP-CR for spraying "Liquid Surface Putty", which it accomplishes perfectly, without any clogging or dry-tip issues... spraying putty, without any clogging. If it can spray putty thinned with lacquer thinner, I expect that it can spray any sort of metallic paint or similarly difficult medium. Slightly fewer features than the higher priced models, no cut away on the handle for needle clearing, otherwise, it has the same smooth trigger action, metal parts, durability. Very satisfied with it's performance.

It lives up to the reputation of Iwata, and $100 is about the most i am willing to spend. But I already own 4 i cheap airbrushes, that cost less then $30 each. And maybe I'm not the type of airbrush artist this is designed for, but I can't tell much difference if any from the cheap units. I was hoping the Iwata might be better at making fine lines with low pressure, and I might be doing something wrong, but it seems about the same. And truthfully I really don't need this much quality for those tasks since I can't tell the difference. If your airbrush needs are similar to mine, the $30 airbrush might be all you need, and not a lot of difference for this purpose to justify the added expense.
Excellent airbrush. As a beginner I first bought a cheap Chinese unit to learn the ropes. What I learned is that I should have bought a good one from the get go. This airbrush is a gem, so easy to use and it worked right from the beginning. If you want to learn airbrushing, do yourself a favour and get a good airbrush to start. Loads of great beginners video on YouTube to get you started.
Great brush, greater value. I purchased a replacement for my worn out Revolution at the IPMS Nationals from the team at Spraygunner. They were knowledgeable and professional! Thanks Spraygunner!
Absolutely perfect airbrush for any type of project. The customer service was impeccable, delivery was timely and super satisfied as a first time customer. Sunward Hobbies is a great resource with professional products definitely a company to support.
I bought this airbrush to complement my Iwata Eclipse airbrush. This is a very nice airbrush. Simple to use and and clean after using. I bought this airbrush for airbrushing acrylic primers & clear varnishes. Having a 0.5 needle works well. This airbrush would be a good choice for a first time double action airbrush. I highly recommend this airbrush.
Hello!! I have been a professional taxidermist over 23 Years Now, And A Big Conclusion to success isβ DONT BUY CHEAP AIRBRUSHES!!They last a little while, BUT IWATA LAST YEARS!!! Take it from Me!FLYBOY ADVENTURES IN RC PLANES On YouTube
I'm a novice airbrusher, and I am focusing on the basics, via practice, practice, practice. The cheap (Chinese no name) airbrushes I was using, were horrible. I bought one of the "kits," that included a single action, and dual action gravity, and siphon feed airbrushes. I spent so much time trying to get the brushes to spray, that I was not practicing. After much research, I decided that the "revolution" was a good fit for me. What a difference. Paint flows, regardless of my thinning. Fine line ability, is way beyond my current ability. But the biggie, is clean-up. So much easier than my previous experience. Love my "revolution," and am back to practicing. Don't waste your time on the no-name, Chinese junk.
