When I heard about your product Superweld Light Activated Instant Glue I was immediately interested. I read the reviews, some pro some con, but decided to give your product a try on a project that seemed perfect for this glue. At $10 per unit I found it to be more expensive than other similar glues. So I bought two hoping that this glue would help with finishing my project. I was careful to follow the instructions carefully and took special care to clean the dispenser tip of glue. I put a toothpick in the opening to prevent the glue from sealing it up. The very next day the glue dried up as I could not squeeze anything out. I tried the other tube I bought and I couldn’t squeeze anything out of it either. But if a product is not dependable, I don’t care how well it preformed on the first application, I would not continue to buy it. Great idea but needs some additional work to work out the bugs regarding shelf live. I would have taken them back to Home Depot but I destroyed both of the tubes trying to see where the glue went. Hopefully you will find solutions to these problems.

I have had this for months and use it periodically for different projects. It hasn't dried out or evaporated and has always been available for my projects. I even bought an extra tube for when this runs out. It just keeps going! I apply it, and like super glue, immediately put the cap on. Awesome product. It is strong and reliable. I even put some on my flipper to tighten it up until my implants are ready for their crowns. Worked perfectly. I read some of the reviews and see why some of them have problems. They just don't read all the instructions. Like super glue this product needs to be applied and immediately have the cap put back on. Some people just want a miracle product that reads their mind and works exactly the way they want it too. Good luck with that.

I used this glue for a few different things. My daughter has a faux plant and one of the plastic stems of a leave was loose from the planter. The planter has styrofoam in it. At first I put the glue directly on the styrofoam. The glue soaked right in and the plastic stem didn't stick until I put the glue directly on the plastic stem. The curing took a bit longer then the directions on the glue bottle described. This glue worked quicker when gluing a round handle back on a drawer to a dresser. I also used this to glue a piece of wood onto a door cabinet that broke off. This was also used to glue back plastic from a refrigerator drawer handle. The curing process went quickly for both and the glue is holding well

I purchased this from Lowes last weekend (14 days ago). I opened the outer package today, screwed on the black plastic tip which appears designed to punch the the foil. I felt the resistance as I turned and assumed the foil punctured. I squeezed and squeezed to get the product to dispense but nothing came out. I removed the black applicator tip to see the foil was properly punctured. I liked a small dowel into the tube to get out a bit if tacky wetness - feeling the back age more carefully, the entire mass of glue was hardened in the tube. It seems that the product needs better preservative, darker (light blocking) packaging, or some other improvement. It seems that the product needs better preservative, darker (light blocking) packaging, or some other improvement. I was so, so happy with the first tube that I bought but this was completely disappointing. I planned my project around the success of the first tube. Now I don't know how I can hold everything together long enough for standard superglue to set. I have already recommended to many others based on how happy I was with the first tube - what are they going to say to me if they actually buy this and expect the results like my first tube rather than the results of this second tube.
The SuperWeld Light Activated Instant Glue is a fast and reliable adhesive solution. With its light activation feature, it provides instant bonding, eliminating long drying times. The glue is easy to use and works well on various materials. It forms a strong and durable bond, reducing the need for frequent repairs. While it may not work on all surfaces and requires direct light exposure, it offers convenient and efficient bonding with minimal mess.Pros:Instant bonding with light activationEasy and versatile applicationStrong and durable bondMinimal mess and clean-upCons:Requires direct light exposure for activationMay not work on all surfaces
To be perfectly honest, I purchased JB Weld SuperWeld Light Activated Instant Glue for absolutely no reason, other than I have a major glue obsession and I felt compelled to add this to my arsenal. There's nothing worse than having to stop what you're doing and head to the store while you're elbow deep in a project because you're halfway through and you suddenly realize you don't have the right kind of glue for the job. Due to this somewhat irrational and oftentimes overly-dramatic fear of mine, I keep my stash well-stocked with glues ranging from Elmers disappearing purple school glue sticks to industrial construction adhesives and everything in between. In the event I ever find myself needing to attach an origami giraffe sitting on top of styrofoam to a roofing ... MoreTo be perfectly honest, I purchased JB Weld SuperWeld Light Activated Instant Glue for absolutely no reason, other than I have a major glue obsession and I felt compelled to add this to my arsenal. Due to this somewhat irrational and oftentimes overly-dramatic fear of mine, I keep my stash well-stocked with glues ranging from Elmers disappearing purple school glue sticks to industrial construction adhesives and everything in between. In the event I ever find myself needing to attach an origami giraffe sitting on top of styrofoam to a roofing shingle I'm prepared. Now that y'all have an idea of how passionate I am about my glues, just imagine how excited I was when I first laid eyes on SuperWeld Light Activated Instant Glue. I would've bought SuperWeld just to have an actual super glue made by JB Weld (since I love every glue of theirs I've ever used) but the light...oh the light...to say I was captivated by it is an understatement. The light came with the promise of an almost instant cure time as well as the unwritten guarantee that I would be spending a ridiculous amount of time glueing a lot of 'this' to a bunch of 'that.'$10 later and this good time disguised as glue was coming home with me. In an effort to prevent myself from wandering through the house unnecessarily glueing random things together, I placed the tube in its new home and put quite a bit of thought into what I would do with this newfound power I had. After all, this was a normal sized tube that doesn't hold much glue and everyone knows that using the cure light is all fun and games until you run out of super glue. After meticulously prepping for a solid half hour, it was finally time. I screwed the cap on the tube to break the seal. I was so excited I was sweating. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment when no glue came out. I shook the tube and listened for the movement of fluid but there was none. The entire tube was bone dry -- and it had been opened only seconds before.I quickly turned to JB Weld's website -- specifically SuperWeld's product page -- and found this is not an isolated incident, unfortunately. I'm not sure if a bad batch was sent to Home Depot, or if it just sat on the shelf too long. I live in Texas, and we experience hell-like temperatures nearly year round, so maybe shipping in the heat played a part in the demise of this glue. I have no clue. But what I DO know is I literally paid ten bucks for a blue light that I can do nothing with except point at various objects and dream about what might have been.My two stars are for the light. I can only attest that the light comes on. Surely it does what it claims to do, which is cure the SuperWeld in seconds as opposed to an entire day of curing without it. I wouldn't know though because my glue had apparently been cured long before I brought it home. I may need therapy now, thanks.
Handyman for 19 years and recently watched a glue comparison that had JB Weld far ahead of the others. So against my judgement I switched from gorilla glue products to all JB Weld products. I need to carry several different kinds of glue (instant setting, different material etc...) since I never know what I’ll need. So I spent hundreds of dollars on 6 different products. I’ve used three and all three have failed miserably. I went back to the video I watched to see if I had done something wrong. I followed the directions to a T and the same result. For how hard I work for my money I at least can say that Gorilla glue does work. Their super glue had never dried up and I’ve used it a dozen times in a year and it’s still working just fine. The JB Weld with the light is downright terrible. I figured that if you need a fancy gimmick like shining a light on a liquid to make it set quicker then it’s probably not a great product and unfortunately I was right. Out hundreds of dollars and am not happy at all.
This is the best super glue I've ever used, and I have them all. I've been a Loctite girl for YEARS but this jb weld stuff has turned me. I'll never use another glue again. It bonds strong to literally everything, even plastics and fabric. Ive layered it with Viva paper towel pieces and it's solid as a rock in seconds, then I sand and polish it to make faux quarts jewelry. I repaired a hole in my truck interior by layering the Viva and super weld in the same way, sanded it, then painted to match. You can't even see where I repaired, completely flawless. I couldn't get ANYTHING to stick for that project until I found super weld. I glued one of my antique chairs back together and if it can hold up to my Aunt Kathy it can hold up anything!
this glue is perfectly clear, very strong, and dries by the little light on the top of the tube, curing in about 10-15 seconds! this is perfect for anything you need to hold together in order for the glue to dry properly, no more holding it together or assembling it and hoping it stays in place while drying, because this glue dries instantly! instant dry = no mess! the best part is you can use it on pretty much anything! you can use it for jewelry making as it’s safe for metal and beads, glass, or maybe fixing something in the house. it’s safe for ceramic, porcelain, plastic and vinyl, wood, the list goes on. i used it to fix a pair of broken glasses and so far, they’re still holding up good. every household needs this glue, it’s a lifesaver!
