Does not lock into place

The Q&A in this section has two questions which have been answered saying that this footrest locks into place, it does *not*. I was looking for something to add height which means it only works in one angle for me and I can't keep it there unless I stick a book underneath it.

This footrest is FABULOUS

I don't normally write reviews, unless a product or service is exceptional. I love this footrest and what isn't clear in the description is the footrest is not static, therefore you can rock your feet forwards and backwards whilst working and keeping the blood flow going. For this reason I love it. I have had a static footrest before that needed the position to be manually changed. Would highly recommend.
