I bought this chair in Sept 2021, about 1 month later the gas lift keeps falling down on its own. it is a little unsturdy when rocking back. I have put up with it since then but now the whole gas lift has broken through the base, the chair is unusable anymore. Not very good quality make of chair.

In the six months after buying this chair I started to get noticeable back pain. There's limited support and I regret not purchasing a more expensive item. I've also noticed the imitation leather has started to fray in a few places already as shown in other reviews.

I previously had an archer chair for 3 years that had the characteristics of having all the leather flaking/peeling off it, however my previous chair was good and caused no back problems so I simply re-brought it in 2017.However my new archer chair that I brought to replace it, isn't as good as the previous chair and has caused:-lower back pain-isn't as comfortableI believe the issue is the excessive padding on the back of the chair near the lower back compressing the spine potentially. This chair isn't good for sitting in long period of time even for couple of hours. I am highly disappointed with the J.Burrows brand and officeworks for marketing this as a good chair. I would've been happy to pay more and get a chair that doesn't cause back pain.

After 5 months the pole that holds the chair up has fallen out of place and now drags on the floor. Tried to get a refund or exchange for a better quality chair but they said no. They will order the part in and i have to fix the chair myself.I will be buying my office supplies from somewhere else from now on because it is not true office works does not work.
Bought in July 2021 gas lift started to drop down 10 months. A month later the whole shaft of the chair has broken through the base so essentially not sitting on the wheels anymore. How they expect this chair to last 3 years I don't know quite disappointed as used this chair before at a previous job and the quality was much better 2-3 years ago then they are now. Probably should of taken the reviews into more consideration before buying. but was in lockdown and this was the only affordable chair available at the time. Have now bought the executive chair which has a higher weight rating so hopefully will last longer.
This chair is so uncomfortable. I just cannot get comfortable in it and my back and shoulders are hurting after 1 days use. I wish I had read these reviews before I bought it. Guess I'm stuck with it now :(
I got this chair when I exchanged it for the last one that squeaked so bad every time I moved, it made Zoom calls impossible.This one is no better, plus the gas lift keeps dropping me down to the lowest height.Its a cheap chair and you get what you pay for. my advice is don't buy it.
Bought this chair about an year ago and I am very dissapointed about how this turned out. the chairs padding is very thin and makes it very uncomfortable for long periods of time. it makes your butt and lower back hurt after less than an hour of sitting and is a very uncomfortable chair. the quality is also very poor, with parts of the upholstery peeling off after less than one years use and the armrest become very loose even after re-tightening them. the chair is rather wobbly too. I would not recommend this product and I will go for a used higher quality office chair next time.
I bought this chair on 30 Jun 2020. And in just 2 weeks the centre of the seat, the padding is virtually non existent. Easy to put together, Back rest is good. Armrests are good. Its just the seat. Not enough cushioning at all. Cushioning good at the edges but in the centre of the seat its like sitting on a wooden bench seat. And I weigh 86kg. Not Happy..I will be phoning local store by the weekend.
gas lift failed and the pleather falls apart. I'm only 90kgs and after 8 months the gas cylinder failed, it would sag down repeatedly. I can live with the fake leather falling apart but the gas height was the deal breaker for me. i purchased this over other cheaper alternatives and am disappointed. would not recommended
