Have assembled many of these and the first few atleast went together like a dream but unfortunately is not the case anymore,all the tabs need to be bent before can even Start to try and assemble and even then a few manage to find there way to the visible side of posts ,then there are others that can barley enter the slot have all the paint chipping offand Sometimes end up completely warped before using pliers to try and bend back .was a similar story with the smaller MDF heavy duty shelving but has recently changed design and is now excellent so would highly recomend this option.I am no longer interested in assembling cobalt shelving ,I only started assembling the newly designed MDF as I could see had changed for the better.

Lovely white colour, stronger than I thought it would be. Bought for the shed bit was so nice that I out them in my laundry. I painted the MDF boards with high gloss low VOC vivid white paint. Lmthey look amazing. Extremely easy to put together.Will get more soon for extra shelves in the bedrooms.

This isn't your grandmother's flatpack furniture. This is more your grandfather's, but back in his heyday. Elbow grease is required to assemble.The fittings used are poorly manufactured and have zero tolerance resulting in bent and warped small metal parts when assembled. I had to use a rubber mallet and Innox to get any of the dozens of fittings to connect. If you don't own a rubber mallet or spray lubricant I would not recommend buying this product as it would be extremely difficult to assemble.In saying that when it is assembled it looks great and feels quite sturdy.As for the above review that rates it one star for being MDF, it literally states that it is particle board on the box and website.

Just purchased this item, easy to put together but also easy to fall apart. Can’t move it slightly without some section falling out. It is extremely wobbly and feeble, not impressed at all.
The was the perfect height, width and length for my craft room.I needed the height to be able to stand and work and I needed shelves to store the tools that I work with.Very easy to slot together with the help of a gentle hammering. I didn't even use thescrews provided. I bought two of these units and it keeps my everyday working tools close at hand while saving space.I am thinking of buying another one for my printer and papers.
I bought 3, but returned 2 of them after assembling the first one.It is still very unsteady, even after putting things evenly on each shelf. This is made very cheaply and the metal bends and chips quite easily, which is not what I expected.I bought this because of the 90kg load rating per shelf.But I would not recommend this shelving unit, as I don't trust the load rating.
This shelf is aesthetically and structurally exactly what I wanted. A great price and the perfect size for the space I needed. Come assembly time, it was the most frustrating flat pack I have come across. One of the longest pieces had dent, not a huge issue, but as I carried on I noticed one side of the joint pieces would go in fine, while the other side would almost bend and break trying to get it in. I realised that the POWDERCOAT was preventing them from sliding into place properly. So I sanded the joints down and assembly went smoother after that. Beware the uneven powdercoat!
Hard to assemble. Metal bends. Complete waste of money. Ended up throwing out.
This shelving unit is fine but it only has unprotected MDF shelves.Who uses MDF these days!Anything wet on these shelves and its curtains.I thought I could try adhesive PVC film but now as everybody else uses melamine PVC is only available in short rolls....This product has potential but its application is limited by the poor choice of materials.
If I could give it zero stars I would. Zero quality control. The tabs are a mix of mostly no resistance eg they fall into the tabs and then fall out the moment you even think of touching it. Or so tight the cheap thin metal of the tabs just bend. So it's the most frustrating thing to even try and build. It's not safe because if it gets knocked even when finished with weight on it they can pop out so it's just plain dangours. Also the shelves themselves are about as cheap looking as you could even buy. The white finish looks nice and the only reason I did not take it back or send it to the tip where most will end up. The fact its still sold is shocking.
