Once up on a mid-day dreary,I stare at my screens with a back all leery.Searching for salvation from curved-spine agony,I saw only items of rampant debauchery.Chairs of flimsy mesh and gaudy neon blue,I pled to the skies "Whatever will I do?""Deliver me from these unsightly husks!"And then I saw her, standing tall and just.Imposing with purpose, ready for duty,Stock from a different breed, a striking beauty. After backbreaking months of working from home,At last I sat upon my golden throne.Clad in black (faux) leather, stylish and sleek,Chair craftsmanship has reached it's peak.Sturdy and gallant, stands my trusty steed,Ready and waiting, for every need.Unbent, unbroken, more than a mere chair!Ne'er have I beheld a beast so ... MoreOnce up on a mid-day dreary,I stare at my screens with a back all leery.Searching for salvation from curved-spine agony,I saw only items of rampant debauchery.Chairs of flimsy mesh and gaudy neon blue,I pled to the skies "Whatever will I do?""Deliver me from these unsightly husks!"And then I saw her, standing tall and just.Imposing with purpose, ready for duty,Stock from a different breed, a striking beauty. After backbreaking months of working from home,At last I sat upon my golden throne.Clad in black (faux) leather, stylish and sleek,Chair craftsmanship has reached it's peak.Sturdy and gallant, stands my trusty steed,Ready and waiting, for every need.Unbent, unbroken, more than a mere chair!Ne'er have I beheld a beast so fair.Three years, two states, she's stood the test of time,There are many others like it, but this one is mine.I have been blind, but now my eyes doth see,My dutiful companion, my WEC.

Also you can see what happened to my other chair after 3 years of daily use.

Government gave lots of low income earners a nice $250-00 handshake. I added $50 to this and got my most expensive chair ever.I have started working from home 5 days a fortnight and sit in this chair for up to 8 hours straight. I am 188cm tall and weigh about 105kg and I am 59 years of age. I have been assembling chairs for myself from Officeworks and other places for years. This one was really easy to put together and was done in minutes. The height adjustable arm rests are really good. They are not PU leather covered but are a rubberised plastic item. They are soft enough to put your arms on for an extended period, but strong enough to handle my Bass guitar when I drop them down and play a few hours of blues. This was an upgrade from a series of the Bathurst ... MoreGovernment gave lots of low income earners a nice $250-00 handshake. I have had heaps of them and liked them as the arms flipped up out of the way to allow my bass to be played. The padding underneath my rear was garbage after a few hours and after a months it was like sitting on a rock. The Washington is sturdier and the seat bass stays supportive of my bum all day long....and then does it again the next day. The adaptability is really good. The levers make it an instant adjustment to suit your needs. The only issue I have is the apparent lack of tension adjustability on the underseat spring. The spring is there and has a large plastic knob on the top....but it does not move....well so far for me. The knob is more a safety cover to stop scratching your legs I think. This is not a chair that comes with a lock and release mechanism that lets you lean back or keeps you sitting up. It is a sit up chair, than you can recline the back of the chair a little and fix it in place.

It is great to have a non-leather/PU chair that is pleasant to feel. However, this chair is not designed for tall people. I am 191cm, and find that the upper chair pushes into my upper body, causing me to hunch. There is no lower back support, so I need a pillow to provide that support. This chair looks great, but does not fulfil its function.
Love this chair, its comfortable and nicely wide so the arms done dig in at the sides. The padding is ample and the metal base is strong. After 5 years the piston mechanism stopped working and it has an 8 year warranty. Called the manufacture who shipped me out a replacement bottom kit without any hassle.Highly recommended.
Early 2020 shimmers and rings in many a memory as a tumultuous and trying time of transition for many of us. For me, it meant (among other things) a solemn resignation to 40 hours a week in my old black leather, faded, yellowing-foam-sticking-out, rickety and above all, unergonomic, chair. It wasn't long before I decided something had to be done. There I went on a quest across office supplier websites, scouring the annals of chairdom for a WFH-worthy throne. Did I want one of those lightweight meshy numbers favoured by so many open plan flat whiters? Could I really see myself in the prime of my productivity in one of those aggressively angular, eye-splittingly bright stripy coloured gaming chairs? All seemed lost. But then I saw her. Could I really see myself in the prime of my productivity in one of those aggressively angular, eye-splittingly bright stripy coloured gaming chairs? All seemed lost. But then I saw her. The WEC!With every word of her description and every pixel of her image I fell deeper in love. The generous underpadding. The versatile and comprehensive hand controls. Not to mention the ergonomics! Good gracious! I had to have one, and after a frenetic jaunt to three different Officeworks in my local area, she was mine. Forever.Dear reader, do not listen to any of these naysayers touting back pain or lack of neck support. Don't waste your precious seconds on those questioning the durability of this beast, which has withstood two full years of regular service under me and shows no signs of slowing down. You don't deserve those people. You deserve better. Nay, you deserve the best. And it is here.Get a WEC.
Bought this chair online Apr 2020. Pick up at store was easy, no issues. Delivery to store for pick up was delayed by 1 day which is pretty good being that covid19 has affected delivery in general. Chair was heavy so I had purchased a trolley online in conjunction w/ chair. Chair is extremely comfy w/great padding. I'm very happy. Assembly was easy, takes 15 min and it comes w/all the tools u need (an allen key). I'm 157cm & 51 kg (=5'2" & 111 lbs) and the chair fits me perfectly, it supports my head and back nicely! My partner is taller, 178cm & 77kg (5'10" & 170 lbs) and he feels the chair is too small for his body and does not support his head, and the padding for his lower back is in the wrong spot for him cuz he's too tall for it. In my opinion, the chair would be too small for someone who's taller than myself. It has the new chair smell which takes ~4 days to air out. I read other reviews saying that the padding gets flattened out over time (but they might have been heavier than myself?) so if this happens to me then i'll update this review accordingly. For now, it's new and comfy, and I love it for me :-)
I cleaned the chair regularly with a faux leather cleaner and feeder, which in theory should keep the chair looking good for years. - It didn't. The base has flaked off almost 50%. The cushion has compressed and is no longer comfortable.I thought I had bought a great chair, but here we go - more junk to landfill.
I was looking for a chair for long sittings. I tried the chair in the Officework and it felt very good. It is strong, heavy (which is good for stablity) and looks comfortable.BUT (and it is a big BUT), after sitting for an extended period of time during lockdown, I start feeling a terrible pain on my upper and lower back. I had to go to physio for few months to recover. It never struck to my mind that the pain could be because of the chair since it looks very comfortable. It was when I returned to office that I realised sitting on office chairs does not induce pain whereas when I work from home for a day, the same pain is back again. After trying this for couple of items, I can confirm that my back pain is because of sitting on this chair. So if you are reading ... MoreI was looking for a chair for long sittings. Bought this precovid as an occasional use computer chair. Wasnt aware just how much I was about to use it. Looks great and really comfortable. After about 6months though it lost all its padding. After about a year it became very wabbly and creaky, no amount of tightening helped. Still using now, 3yrs later so good value but not great for alot of use.
