This headset wasn't quite as advertised.The microphone boom is meant to mute the microphone when raised, but also mutes all sound entering the headset. Everything mutes. This seems to be an ongoing issue with the headset - goggle it and look at the Reddit site.The buttons are awkward, they are too close together and too small.It's tricky to get it on the charging standOverall disappointing. I prefer my old Plantronics.MWave have been responsive and very good, would definitely buy from this site again.

They can reproduce some bass, by they are passive devices i.e. no ANC, so wouldn't work as well for this use case in a noisy environment. But I don't think they are pretending to be that.Mic QualityI have never had any complaints from my coworkers, either in terms of hearing me nor ambient household noises, nearby children on their own LFH calls, etc. You can mute the mic by moving the boom up or hitting the mute button on the right earcup. The only gotcha personally is that the mic boom isn't super adjustable so it ends up a bit close to my face when the cups are optimally adjusted to my most comfortable position. Not a game-changer, but a slight annoyance, causing it to sometimes pick up breathign sounds if positioned too low.DongleIn my mind this is almost mandatory, especially given the dismal Bluetooth Windows headset pairing implementation. Recent Macs don't appear to have faired that well in the BT connection stability department either. Jabra claims that the dongle is recognised as a 'sound card' by Windows. The upshot is that it works every single time and the connection resumes super quick when you switch the headset on.On-call Notification LightI don't know why all headsets don't have them - these are great and I get fewer interruptions from my family when I'm on a call. I've yet to utilise these in the office, but I imagine it would have the same effect.PriceThere's no doubt these are expensive. But then, you get what you pay for given the quality of the design (physical, UX, firmware and software), functionality, fit and finish. Not overpriced, but definitely at the top of the range. Hopefully as time goes buy they will start getting discounted.SoftwareMy primary machine a locked down Windows laptop from my employer, so I have only really used the software on my own laptop to update the firmware and make some minor adjustments when I bought it. It was easy enough to figure out.Battery LifeI only need to charge this up every few days. I do make it a point to switch the headset off when I know there is a gap between calls. There are audio and led prompts to show you when the thing needs a charge.

Bugs with Teams on MacOS

This is a relatively expense headset that tries to do everything. Unfortunately, it's mediocre at everything; sound, ergonomics, battery life and connectivity. Especially not recommended for those using Teams on MacOS - my voice was constantly breaking up (might be better on PC). I only have myself to blame for this purchase, I should have bought a better quality wireless headset or nothing at all. I have gone back to my old cable Jabra Evolve 40, working just fine.

Freedom to talk

So this is a lot to pay for the freedom to pace around the room during conference calls. But it's worth it, and means I can do things like answer the door or grab a drink without anyone else being aware (at least while the video feed is off). Also proven with a Samsung tablet for leisure again with no issues, and a Gigaset DECT phone which although worked was so fiddly to activate from the phone I can't see me using that very often. Getting it to connect to a Linux Mint desktop was a bit more of a fiddle on the Blueman console (it sees 3 headsets for some reason) but once connected it works just fine too.I can't try the Jabra software under Windows without getting an official warning from the IT police, but Win10 and Teams just worked fine. Skype for Business also tried to claim it and got a bit confused but we're decomissioning it soon so who cares. It also works well with all the Android audio and comms apps I've tried, but then I would expect that from Samsung devices. From experience other phones can be very peculiar when it comes to bluetooth. Even under Linux it's works nicely after the first connection with the likes of Clemantine and even other OS running in a VM.The passive noise cancellation is just well designed padding but it's effective and I rarely hear the rest of the family while working, and it's rare for anyone else to hear them too (or they're too polite to comment). Sometimes I've noticed that it can get a little warm while wearing and it's taken a little time to adjust the fit for long-term comfort, but I can be on call for hours at a time. Having the mute active by swinging the boom out the way is good, but can be embarrassing when Teams has also applied a mute as well and I'm not looking at the screen while talking.I previously tried a cheap £15 headset off Amazon, which only lasted a few months before giving up after two replacements. These have been in almost daily use for a month and no complaints or issues yet. And based on previous experience with LiGo if anything odd should happen I have no doubts they'd sort it quickly too

I had high hopes

I currently have a Jabra headset and thought this more updated would give me the flexibility of moving around while working. I do work in a call center and unfortunately this was a wasted product for me. The headset volume is super muffled for my liking, there little customization when it comes to fitting the device on your head and ears which overall makes it uncomfortable. It also slide down my head consistently. I would think that when having a larger head that this wouldn’t be an issue. The only plus is the fact that I can raise and lower the mic to mute the device and it holds a good battery life. I’m honestly hoping I can return it. Good service from Headset Advisor… not so good device from Jabra.

Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo Headset, USB-A, Black

Bought this as an upgrade from the Evolve 65 (not 2) and unfortunately its overall a downgrade, despite being constructed very nicely with premium feeling materials and a great build quality - I wanted to love it!There are 2 x major issues:Firstly, the mic is right side only, whereas the previous model could swing both ways (I prefer on the left side). Maybe not a deal breaker for some, but I just found it constantly annoying.Secondly, the previous model has a hard headband which gradually built up pressure on the top of my head and become uncomfortable after a few hours. Still chasing the holy grail of headsets... Looking at the Evolve 75 it looks like it might suffer the same issues as the Evolve2 65.

Perfect fit for what I was looking for

I've been using it for about a month. It's meeting my needs and expectations.I'm in webex meetings for my job most of my day. I wanted something comfortable that I could use for work, but that also satisfied my desire for a headset for personal life. I needed something over ear and I really prefer to keep one ear open to the world around me.Sound quality is good. Mic is good. I get a little ear strain from wearing he headset all day, but frankly I expected that. I got the webex enhanced and I like that it interfaces so nicely with the controls in webex reflecting when I'm muted or not in the meeting. I find it delightful that I can control whatever phone music app is open on my phone from the headset. Delightful.I like that the bluetooth is active for two devices which makes switching from work to play easy. I haven't had to switch back and forth between the two and the couple of times I did I kind a flubbed it, but I haven't explored much to see if it's user error or complicated interface.The range in my apartment is acceptable. I can be about two rooms away from it. My apartment is long and thin and has a lot of brick. It does get pretty crabby if I get too far away from the computer. That's not a deal breaker for me though.All in all I love it, and for how much I use the thing, and how desperate I am to have my hands free and be able to walk about it's great. I love it!
