Before getting the Jabra Evolve2 75s, I would constantly switch between my Sony WH1000-XM4 headset and my Jabra Evolve 75s in the office. The former was more comfortable for prolonged music listening while in deep flow and had better noise cancellation, but was terrible for calls in a noisy office as the mics picked up all the conversations around me except the one that I was trying to have. The latter was great for conference calls, but got a bit uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Switching between the two headsets when I received impromptu calls always involved fun charades of me holding up my finger and miming "one minute please" as I turned off one device and let the other connect via Bluetooth, which could take up to 10 to 15 seconds. This ... MoreBefore getting the Jabra Evolve2 75s, I would constantly switch between my Sony WH1000-XM4 headset and my Jabra Evolve 75s in the office. The ANC keeps me tightly ensconced in my cocoon of productivity until I make visual contact with colleagues, the boom mic isolates my voice for conference calls flawlessly, and with Microsoft Teams integration, I only need to lower my mic for it to switch from my music to the call. In comparison to the Sony XM4s, I found this headset better at prioritising which app/function I needed at the moment, and the auto-pause and play feature when I put down the headset worked much more often for me.Rather than getting a high-end personal headset and a high-end professional headset, I definitely would recommend getting this one instead to serve both use cases.

Me and my Evolve2's have known each other for about 2 years now. Not gonna lie, it hasn't always been easy. You'd think our relationship would be smooth going - I'd put on the headset and it sends sweet sounds into my ears and also makes me sound like a smooth talker with the swing arm mic...while the mic is excellent for calls, everyone hears me clearly, sometimes the switch between laptop and mobile isn't so neatly done. For example, if I'm on a google chat meeting and a call comes in on my mobile device, it'll cut me out of my meeting to prioritize the ringing phone. There's no way to set channel priority. Not cool. As for the sound, I've played around with the EQ settings and the bass is still not that great although it's awesome in the higher ranges. As for the sound, I've played around with the EQ settings and the bass is still not that great although it's awesome in the higher ranges. Since this is an over the ear headset, and has active noise cancelling, I can focus pretty well with them on. Too well actually, others have been able to sneak up on me and scare the daylights out of me so unless I'm peacefully by myself, I tend to half cover my ears so that I can hear who I'm about to counter-attack and also hear myself talking to monitor my speaking volume. Overall, I love this headset but the one thing I wish it would allow me to do is replace the stock ear cushions. The original ear cushions snap off and on and are soft but not cushy so trying to find a 3rd party upgrade hasn't been easy due to fit alone. So after all that I've said, if I can't upgrade it to make them more comfortable, I'm upgrading it altogether. Sorry Evolve2, it was nice to have known ya.

Also proven with a Samsung tablet for leisure again with no issues, and a Gigaset DECT phone which although worked was so fiddly to activate from the phone I can't see me using that very often. Getting it to connect to a Linux Mint desktop was a bit more of a fiddle on the Blueman console (it sees 3 headsets for some reason) but once connected it works just fine too.I can't try the Jabra software under Windows without getting an official warning from the IT police, but Win10 and Teams just worked fine. Skype for Business also tried to claim it and got a bit confused but we're decomissioning it soon so who cares. It also works well with all the Android audio and comms apps I've tried, but then I would expect that from Samsung devices. From experience other phones can be very peculiar when it comes to bluetooth. Even under Linux it's works nicely after the first connection with the likes of Clemantine and even other OS running in a VM.The passive noise cancellation is just well designed padding but it's effective and I rarely hear the rest of the family while working, and it's rare for anyone else to hear them too (or they're too polite to comment). Sometimes I've noticed that it can get a little warm while wearing and it's taken a little time to adjust the fit for long-term comfort, but I can be on call for hours at a time. Having the mute active by swinging the boom out the way is good, but can be embarrassing when Teams has also applied a mute as well and I'm not looking at the screen while talking.I previously tried a cheap £15 headset off Amazon, which only lasted a few months before giving up after two replacements. These have been in almost daily use for a month and no complaints or issues yet. And based on previous experience with LiGo if anything odd should happen I have no doubts they'd sort it quickly too

Great headset just as the Headset Advisor reviews had said!
29 November 2022

I had recently taken a position with a company that uses the MS TEAMS platform for a great deal of their in-house training and meeting sessions as well as lots of conference calls. I could tell very early on that a good headset was going to be very helpful during those office activities. Since I had already owned a set of Jabra earbuds, I was leaning toward the Jabra Evolve2 85 headsets, but given their price tag, I wasn’t comfortable “trying them out” and potentially not finding them adequate for my needs. I did a lot of research on them and in that process I found headset advisor. No regrets and I will always recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo + Charging Stand, USB-A, Black
8 March 2023

I love Jabra products, but I am already missing the old version of this headset. They are not as comfortable, the material makes my ears quite hot. I have also had some issues with Teams integration and automatic audio control/muting when you move the mic. I often have to move the mic up and down in order for the audio in Teams audio to work properly. It's very fiddly. Sometimes too much tech and too many options is more problematic. I would say this is the case with this headset and perhaps unexpected.

Excellent headset. Very comfortable with the nicely padded over-the-ear earphones. Excellent ambient noise reduction. Excellent sound quality. Nice unobtrusive fold-up microphone. Great wireless range - I can walk around the office and still communicate by phone or via MS Teams.Much better charging stand than the Jabra Evolve 65, which was fiddly to ensure the headset was connected to the charger.I would definitely buy it again and would definitely recommend these headsets.

So in order to go from ANC to Hear-through (the most often use case) two button presses are required. I would much rather prefer this to be configurable to remove Off from this list as I never had a use for this mode.- During a call the mode switches to Off automatically so to get ANC back I have to press the mode switch button. Also, during calls the list of modes change to Off / ANC with no Hear-though option. Weird.- iOS app is unreliable. Most of the time it can't detect the headset while it is paired and connected to the phone. All it shows is "Welcome back. Turn on and connect your device."- There is a weird bug when using the headphones with the charging stand. I usually turn the headset off at the end of the day and put them on the stand. When I take them from the stand the next day and turn them on, there is a 50/50 chance they would become unresponsive and won't connect to anything (phone, dongle) unless I power cycle them. It sounds like they go into a weird semi-on state when they will announce "Battery high" immediately after I put them on my head without me even touching the on/off switch. And then when I flick the switch to On I hear "No device connected". I tried several Evolve2 85 headsets on the latest firmware (1.3.8) and all of them exhibit the same issue. It is not consistent so sometimes it only happens once a week - and sometimes it happens every day. Very confusing.- Jabra Link 380 dongle has a very aggressive power-saving feature that switches off audio streaming if it detects silence for more than 1-1.5 seconds, and it takes half a second to wake up after it detects audio again. As a result, any tutorial/video that has silent parts in between sentences becomes very painful to listen to, with constant fade-ins and lost words.- The latest firmware update was in December 17, 2020. It looks like this product was abandoned.

Uncomfortable...but got better
19 March 2022

The first day I wore this headset for work, my head hurt by the end of the day. It's heavier than other headsets I've used. It was also tight (and I don't think I have a big head). But I stretched it overnight. By that I mean I placed the headset over the packaging box almost like it was on someone's really big head for 16 straight hours. The next morning I pulled stretched it by hand - very wide. And yes, I was nervous the whole unit would snap. It didn't and after some more manual stretching and another overnight box stretch it was looser and didn't feel so tight. As far as the features are concerned, it works great. I like that the boom mic mutes and unmutes when raised and lowered on my Teams calls. The red light indicating that I'm on a call is a nice feature. Would I purchased it again? Sure. It's fine.

so far, great headset for home office work
1 March 2023

I work from home full time and usually have one to three meetings per day. I also access a computer using screen reading software which means I'm wearing these pretty much the entire work day. The on-ear pads are very comfortable. There's a wide range of adjustment which is really nice. My only minor gripe is that while not pinching much on the head, I get just a little bit of discomfort where my glasses sit on my ears by the end of the day sometimes. Given the way the headband is built in the middle, I'm not confident how far I could try to bend them outwards to deal with this. That said, they are very comfortable to wear 99 times out of 100. I also really like the shape of the ear pads. The sound quality is reliable and excellent. I also really like the shape of the ear pads. The sound quality is reliable and excellent. The passive noise isolation is great. I sometimes share my home office space with my wife and she can be having a normal conversation behind me and while I can hear her, I'm not distracted and can't really hear what she's saying. The noise cancellation provided by the microphone is great. I played a few recordings of myself and I don't hear any background from our furnace running or my dog rolling around in the background. No one has ever complained about background noise on calls with me. I have the USBC variant and connect it to my work computer through a dock. I've never had any connectivity issues. To summarize, I can highly recommend these if you are looking for a comfortable set that you can wear all day, don't need active noise cancellation in the speakers, and are looking for a wired headset.

wrong description, no ANC, useless in a noisy environment
1 June 2021

The description says: "It features state-of-the-art Digital Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the latest chipset and its outstanding noise isolation." No it is not. Not even close. There is no ANC mentioned anywhere although some YouTube videos even "tests" it. From Jabrs's site: "Put on your Evolve2 40 and feel the noise around you instantly fade, as the isolating foam oval ear cushions and pioneering new angled earcup design work to effectively block out your surroundings, giving you outstanding passive noise cancellation." That is basically not true, only blocks minimal noise e.g. street/heater still quite disturbing. More or less useless in a noisy (home) office.
