When brainstorming ways to keep Starlings from nesting in the eaves, this was a great option as it doesn't require fixing as spikes do, nor the mess of fillers. Quick & easy installation. Certainly recommend this product.

I have used these successfully to stop downpipes clogging up by laying them in the gutter over the downpipe gutter pop. Also where gutters do a 90 degree bend at a roof valley - to prevent leaves etc accumulating in the gutter at the bend. They can be easily bent at 90 degrees to do this.I wouldn't recommend them as a way of keeping leaves out of long lengths of gutters - it's an expensive solution and they aren't that easy to clean. Leaves etc tend to get stuck between the bristles and aren't easy to get out.They seem to be durable - I've had one in for about 4 years and it's holding up well.

These bristles were recommended by the roof cleaner and work very well and are very cheap.I recommend them.
Perfect for what I needed - that is, keeping possums off my crab apple tree. They don't like to touch the bristles.
It stopped birds entering the roof that was my objective.
