Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey 70cl

Jack Daniel's 'Gentleman Jack' is a prestige Tennessee Whiskey from America's oldest licensed distillery. Owing to a recipe written by Jack Daniel himself over seven generations ago, Gentleman Jack was first publicly introduced in 1988. Exhibiting the distinctive Jack Daniel's smoothness and complexity, Gentleman Jack goes one step further to offer an even further refined character. This is a result of the distinctively Jack Daniel's charcoal mellowing process having been performed a second time after ageing in new, charred American oak barrels to achieve a taste that is undeniably and irresistibly Jack's. The reward is the title of the world's only twice-mellowed whiskey, with a quality that is unrivalled by any other in its class. More than worthy of displaying the Jack Daniel's name, Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey has a rich, full flavour with hints of fruits and spices, closing in a silky, warm, and pleasant finish.Tasting Note: Soft but insistent. Sweet then dry. Burnt brown sugar and charcoal. Smooth. Very toasty, dry start, becoming surprisingly sweet. Spicy, syrupy background.

This is a great sipping whiskey for people wetting their lips for the first time. This isn't a drink for getting rowdy and starting a bar brawl. No, this is the whiskey you sip while someone is trying to start a bar brawl with you. Just sipping, with a mischievous smirk on your face, knowing that you are going to make sweet, sweet love to their mother later that evening. Because you are a gentleman, and gentlemen need not raise their fists to earn respect. #jackdaniels #voxbox

I like this one better than no 7. It's smoother, less raw and has more sweet bourbon notes than no7 and makes it a little more distinguished. 8t is charcoal mellowed twice (as opposed to once) which is where it gets the flavor difference. It's a little pricier and feels more like a dessert whiskey to sip on where no 7 feels like party whiskey. The flavor is much sweeter here. It is a medium amber color. It has sugary aroma of caramel and vanilla with a hint of oak citrus and spice. It's warm goign doing but with only a minor burn. I sip it straight so idk about any other way I wouldnt ruin it by mixing it to a cocktail. You get a strong taste of sweet vanilla, sour fruit and apple on the palette. And with any whiskey isn't it how you finish. This finishes smooth but ... MoreI like this one better than no 7. I became a whiskey fan back when I learned how to appreciate it. I can appreciate this one. It's good. I have other favorites so I don't drink this as often but I always enjoy it when I do.

Jack is my absolute favorite! When I drink, I want to drink and I want to get where I need to go, without feeling sick from added sugars. This is why I prefer Jack Daniels. To this day, I have never had a hangover from good old Jack. The only bad experience I have had with it; was trying some with my friends grandfather; after it sat in his office for about 12 years. There was about 1/3 of the bottle left and let me tell you...the next morning I felt like I had been up yoddling on the mountain top somewhere In Alaska! My lips felt so wind burnt...and then it hit me why they burned the way they did. This was such a strong, potent and very old Jack. It still didn’t make me sick though, just felt like my lips were about to fall of 😂😂😂

A delicious smooth tasting spirit with an excellent bouquet which is hard to resist. Not a bad price for the quality against other bourbons. I prefer to drink neat but have tried it with mixers and sours. These give the drink a greater variety to suit the mood. Jack is an impressive gift to give to family and friends or just enjoy a glass while chatting or watching your favourite team play. I have tried almost all the Jack Daniels range and have not been disappointed. Gentlemen Jack is the flag ship of the range and a must for your drinks cabinet.

Nothing to complain about
11 July 2022

I don't know, but I don't think you're going to find anything easier-drinking in 80 proof whiskey. There's absolutely nothing objectionable about this whiskey. There's no bitterness. It's not too sweet. It's not too spicy. The finish is OK. It's good. But it's really simple and, to me, really boring. If complex and strong flavors aren't your thing, you won't be disappointed.

OUTSTANDING...!
15 April 2021

Absolutely CLASSIC & impressive retirement gift!! The quality of engraving both words & logo (front AND back) was STUNNING. The website is intuitive & simple to navigate. It was delivered in RECORD time (5 days) even tho the website says to allow 2-3 weeks. Professionally well packaged, AND done in the USA!! Worth EVERY dollar of the $135.00 price tag...(item/engraving & shipping)! AMAZING... I took a chance not knowing the engrave quality, and I could not be more PLEASED! It was seen by others at a party, and 4 more friends have ordered for various gift occasions. THIS IS A TIMELESS CLASSIC well-done work of art!

I don't know why people are complaining I also don't know why people are using ice this drink is special it gives you a smooth refreshing taste plus that strong mellowed flavor and a perfect burn/buzz . If you want something light just drink the jack daniels apple . But this one here let me repeat perfectly smooth and worth it this bottle seems to be more worthy of that 70 dollar price point.

Purchase error
24 September 2021

It compares to much more expensive brands. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong size bottle by mistake. I didnt realize it until I got home and had opened it. I looked on my receipt and saw where I purchased the 1 liter size for over $40! I thought I had the .750 liter. Why would anyone ever buy the 1 liter when the 1.75 liter is $39. I felt like I got ripped off. :(

Smoother than JD Single Barrel Select.
18 November 2022

JD Gentleman Jack, at 40% ABV, is the same strength as the cheaper "ordinary" JD but 5% less than the generally more expensive JD Single Barrel Select. It is, however, noticably smoother than either of them. In fact, I find JD Single Barrel Select distinctly harsh considering the price and "single barrel" designation and would recommend Gentleman Jack over it for the discerning bourbon drinker, neat, on the rocks or with a mixer such as my favourites, Crabbies ginger beer or green ginger, anytime. Best bought when on special off of course. Value rating is based on it's full price.

Smooths out Old No. 7’s rough edges
14 May 2023

This Tennessee whiskey tastes basically the same as Old No. 7, with notes of vanilla, oak, caramel, and cherry. But the charcoal filtering process was undertaken twice with this one, which makes it a slightly smoother and mellower - and thus better - spirit. It’s still a far cry from the delicious JD Single Barrel, but it’s certainly not bad. I’d take it over Old No. 7 any day, even despite the cheaper whiskey’s nostalgia factor.
