Every drop has been smooth going down the throat and the beautiful taste of Ireland is on the tongue.Jameson is great any time of day or night. Straight up, or over rocks, you will find Jameson will hold a wonderful flavor no matter how you deliver it to your mouth.The best way to enjoy Jameson is sitting in a local pub and having a good conversation with friends. I also enjoy it alone thinking about my trips to Ireland and getting that small taste of peat smoke way back on my tongue.Hot weather, cold weather, raining or snowing is the best time to sit and savor a wee glass of Jameson.

A co-worker/friend of mine, got me hooked on Jameson. A local Irish establishment, used to be owned by Rocky Bleier's family (Pittsburgh Steelers) in Appleton, WI, has Shamrock Martini's made with Jameson. Every time we go downtown, that's where we go, for Shamrock Martini's. They are so good!!!!! Good times, great drinks and fun get-togetherness with Jameson. I have passed the tradition down to my daughter too. So now it is a friends and family thing.

I get no “shiver factor” at all from Jameson. I can detect the grains and several other flavors. Two drinks is very relaxing. I find that i love writing songs on my guitar during and after the second dram.Another aspect i enjoy is the knowledge that this is such an old spirit recipe. I've been using Jameson Irish Whiskey for several years now in my Manhattans. Many years ago I went to a friends, fathers birthday party. All the birthday boy drank was Jameson Manhattans. He stated and I quote "this is how the Manhattan was meant to be made." He showed his tricks to me and I've been extremely fond of them ever since. They have come to mean even more to me since both my friend and his father have passed away. I always salute them and thank them both before taking a drink.
Firstly, it didn?t rip the throat off me and neither did it burn a hole through my chest. I am a fairly new whiskey drinker and feared both. I had the first two with coke and then decided to try it ?on the rocks?. By far the best way for me personally. I found it to be smooth and warming (not throat ripping) and delicately flavoured with spices. I could smell honey and citrus and could taste vanilla and cocoa and the warmth afterward was comforting and earthy. I have since used it in cooking (steak glaze, whiskey sauce and in desserts) and also in a hot toddy before bed. I have also used it in coffee and it has worked well throughout. My favourite though is ?on the rocks? so it can be fully appreciated.
Jameson Triple Distilled is an indictment of the Whiskey Industry and the consumer's willingness to be led by popular opinion instead of their own flavor journey. I will never say that it's a bad whiskey. But I will also never be heard saying that it is anything approaching great - or even good! Just read the reviews here - it is indicative of the kind of people who enjoy Jameson. Soulless and hardly helpful. People say it's 'smooth' and 'easy drinking'...the same can be said for WATER.Ask them what can be found on the nose - they won't be able to distinguish any discernable notes worth mentioning. I am happy for those who enjoy it and swear by it but I'm sure they are the kind of people that cannot hold a conversation beyond wats happening with their favorite Premier League Soccer team.
