In 1780 John Jameson opened the doors of the Jameson Distillery Bow St in Dublin. Jameson Irish Whiskey is made by mixing rich pot still whiskey from malted and unmalted barley with the finest grain whiskey, both of which are distilled three times, to ensure smoothness. The Jameson Single Pot Still Whiskey was made from malted and unmalted barley and belongs to the Five Oak Cask Release. It matured in 5 different casks. Former bourbon, sherry and Irish whiskey barrels were used, as well as virgin barrels made from European and American oak. The aroma of dark chocolate, spicy toffee, cinnamon and freshly ground ginger with a hint of orange peel can be clearly perceived here.

This has yet to be tasted but I was disappointed that it arrived in the post not in it’s own box, as it was a gift for Christmas.
Lovely taste with warm spices and fruity flavours. Taste’s like more.
